Amazing Captiva Beach Getaway

Exactly as advertised. Amazing sunsets, beautiful beaches, great amenities and excursions. The entire family enjoyed every minute of our time in Captiva.

Beautiful condo, well maintained property.

This property is inside the South Seas Resort. It is steps from the beach and well appointed, including newer furniture and updated baths. Access to resort amenities is not included but that did not affect our satisfaction one bit.

The condo was great. It had enough towels, kitchen supplies and beach chairs including a cart. It was a nice surprise to have two full baths. The only downfall was the bed was terribly uncomfortable.

Great location

We loved the location of this unit and it seemed to be pretty clean. Things to be aware of: - this is a beach unit but no beach towels are provided which seems odd (beach towels take up a lot of room in luggage) - some of the furniture is stained, the tile floors are dinged up in places, the carpet is a bit dingy - it would have been nice for a late arrival to have at least one night's worth of coffee - no condiments are provided (salt, pepper, sugar would have been nice) - kitchen was well stocked including dishwashing liquid/detergent and even a couple of laundry detergent packages - ignore the emails from Royal Shell telling you to drop your keys at their office upon checkout. There are no keys as this unit has a keypad. - there are tennis courts available for use free of charge

Review

The only complaint we had with the stay was when we went to your office to check around 2pm we were told the property was not ready yet, which was fine as check in was 3pm. The aggravating part was having to return to check-in to get our packet in order to access the property. Not sure why we had to hang around and return to the office when we were going to be accessing the property in an hour at the latest. I could understand if we had arrived a day early or first thing in the morning but at most we would have had access to the resort for 30 minutes if we had driven straight there from check-in. Just a slight inconvenience that had no effect on our vacation and we really enjoyed the property.

Just as described---awesome!

This property was as beautiful and clean as advertised. The location was prime as you are a short walk from the beach and in addition you get to enjoy every day beautiful sunsets. The property provides beach chairs, umbrellas and other beach items for your use. Would highly recommend!!!!

Great location, but poorly maintained

This is our third year staying at the South Seas resort in various condominiums. We love the location and overall size of this condominium, however we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the floors upon arrival. We also were faced with various maintenance issues throughout our stay, which took days to address with Royal Shell management group. The check-in process with Royal Shell was terrible, particularly since this property had a door code and there was not a physical key that required a handoff.

Everything We Needed!

We had a wonderful stay at this property, our first vacation since the start of the pandemic. The condo had everything we needed for a comfortable visit and plenty of space for all of us. It was clean and tastefully decorated, and the kitchen had plenty of basic equipment. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas, for us to use on the beach. We were pleasantly surprised as we had planned on renting these items. We did not need any, but there were no beach towels in the unit, so be sure to bring some. We will definitely be back!

Great visit

Absolutely loved our stay! Captiva is always a fantastic place and our stay at this unit made it even better. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony every day just soaking in the view. We had all the amentities that we needed. Only complaint was that the laundry facilities were not working for the duration of our stay.

Great place in Beach Villas

Beautiful condo with amazing views. Clean, functional was able to accommodate 1 remote school student and 1 working remotely. Great location. Would recommend!

Location Location Location

This condo is a perfect get-away that is steps from the beach. Watch the setting sun from the balcony. Near the entrance to the resort, it is a short walk distance to Doc Ford's and a little farther to the Bubble Room and other popular Captiva spots. The master bedroom is upstairs, so there is separation from the other bedroom. Very clean and great place to get away and slow down.

Very clean -great location

The condo was immaculate and is in a perfect location. Watching the sunset on the balcony makes for a perfect end to an evening. Beach is steps away from the condo.

Clean and Comfortable in a Great Location

The condo was as advertised: well stocked with everything we needed for the beach. Great view of the Gulf. Excellent location and easy check-in. We have been to this condo community many times, but never in a 3rd floor unit. Enjoyed the loft area.

The perfect Winter get-a-way!

The condo is not only beautiful with amazing views of the Gulf but is also clean, comfy and nicely decorated. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Captiva locals are friendly and helpful. The beach and pool are steps away from the condo. Restaurants are easy to get to with options of walking, driving, shuttle/tram or golf cart rentals. It's an excellent place to relax in the sun. We loved it!!

The condo was beautiful! Gorgeous view. But bring your own soap and shampoo. And you won’t be able to sit on the nice lounge chairs on the beach.

A very nice unit for our family of five!

Our family stayed in this unit for the holiday week. We have rented five different condos on Captiva Island and this unit worked well for us. Our three children are older (high school and college) and the twin beds plus the sofa bed option in the loft area was a good setup since we prefer to stick to a two bedroom unit. The loft area is quite large and our daughter enjoyed her own space. The beach supplies provided are very nice (four chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, pool toys, etc.) and in great shape. This unit is in close proximity to a pool and an easy walk to the beach area. Other units we have rented had kitchen supplies that were not provided such as oven mitts, hot pads and kitchen hand towels so we had to use a few bathroom towels for that. We tend to eat breakfast and lunch where we stay and enjoy the great Captiva restaurants for our evening meals. We will certainly consider renting this unit again - it's nicely decorated with comfortable furniture and bedding and we enjoyed our stay.
