Beautiful, quiet, and peaceful

This was exactly what we were looking for for our anniversary weekend. Secluded, great views, and the hot tub was awesome! We'd definitely stay here again if we were in the market.

Awesome getaway

The cabin was clean, secluded and had everything you could ask for. It's definitely a memorable place. Feeding the goats were a huge bonus that made our stay even more special.

Amazing Week!!!!

We had the best week celebrating our anniversary! We used every amenity at the cabin (fire pit, hot tub, massage table, games, etc), hiked on the property with our dogs, saw the bison feeding and learned all about them, and saw lots of other animals. Cheryl and Jeff were awesome and super helpful! We would love to visit again!!!

The goats!

The goats and miniature horses came to visit below our back porch most evenings, and feeding them was so much fun! The view was incredible, and it was peaceful and restful. Just a wonderful vacation.

Honeymoon Trip

My husband and I recently got married. We stayed in the buffalo bungalow for our honeymoon. We had a fantastic time! There's plenty there today but the cabin itself is so good, we rarely even left. I highly recommend visiting. We hope to stay again one day.

The Perfect Getaway

What can I say but other then simply perfect. This little bungalow has it all from hot tub on the porch to billiards and even a sauna. If you want a cozy yet almost secret getaway with your loved one, this I can recommend is the place to stay.

Cute hideaway!

Buffalo bungalow was a charming place tucked away on the property. The 4 wheel drive recommendation could probably be year round, and I definitely recommend arriving in the daylight. We enjoyed trying out the hot tub and sauna and walking the property. We didn't get around to seeing the bison on our quick trip, but we did see llamas on our walk. Overall it was a great mini getaway.

Mountain wedding weekend

My wife and I kicked off our honeymoon here after getting married in Waynesville. The bungalow was perfect!! Everything was just as advertised. Communication was flawless with Cheryl, Dennis, and everyone at Buffalo Creek Vacations going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely return!

AWESOME CABIN!!!!

My boyfriend and I ( ages 25 & 26 ) stayed for 5 days and it was awesome! Such a beautiful cabin and so much to do. We had a blast in Maggie valley , at the gem mine and wheels through time museum. We are already talking about renting again next year!! Defiantly recommend getting this cabin its very romantic and cozy

50th wedding anniversary celebration

On a Monday to Friday stay, rain and the threat thereof forced (allowed) us to stay in the cabin from mid-afternoon on Tuesday until we departed on Friday morning. We were fully prepared for that if necessary, and we had a wonderful time. The cabin also had everything else we needed. There is plenty to do nearby if weather permits and you prefer.

My brothers & my husband had shared a vision of expanding my fathers buffalo ranch when additional property became available to purchase. With all our knowledge & experiences combine we have built 4 log homes & have been renting them out since 2004. All the furniture in this cabin has been handmade by the wood on the property! Even the covered wagon bed,(in Tatonka Lodge) that was custom built my my father. Once my husband retires from the US Army in about 6 yrs our dream will be to build our log cabin on the property & be more hands on. God has blessed us beyond our wildest dreams. We hope you love the mountains like we have all come to love being transplants from a very flat NY!

So many of our previous guest have wrote back & told us they had all these plans to sight see but then just loved hanging out in the cabin together enjoying the game room & seeing the miniature horse, buffalo, goats & llamas!
