We are so glad you and your family enjoyed the island, beaches, and cottage. We love Daufuskie and hope y'all did as well!

We are very happy that you enjoyed the island! When your group booked the property on 4/15/26, you received an extensive welcome message with the extra steps required to travel to Daufuskie, a PDF with water transportation options, land transportation options, cart rental companies, and information regarding shops and stores on the island. Our listing also clearly states that water & land transportation and golf carts are required for this property. We state that these items are not provided by the rental property and the expense is the guest's responsibility. It was not until the final payment was due one week prior to your arrival that y'all appeared to read this information. At this time, you asked to cancel, and we were more than happy to refund one night of your two night stay. We felt this was more than fair given such short notice prior to your stay and outside of our cancellation policy. We do apologize that the cart company did not provide you with extension cords for the golf carts. There are four outside outlets. After your departure we received the complaint regarding the cart company (that is outside of our control). We asked you which company you rented from so we can request they provide long enough cords for future guests. We received no response. We also apologize for the shower curtain, that was remedied less than 10 hours after you alerted us at 10pm. A lack of cleanliness and other complaints in your review were never mentioned during your stay or we would have been more than happy to fix the issues. Unfortunately, "palmetto bugs" are a part of the Low Country and live in the beautiful oak trees that cover the island. We do appreciate your feedback and are glad you and your friends enjoyed the island! Daufuskie is truly a wonderful place to visit and we wish all the visitors truly enjoy it!

We are so happy that y'all enjoyed the beach we are located on! We are terribly sorry due to not providing salt, pepper, and oil- received a 6/10 rating. We do not provide these items due to complaints we received regarding the brand, quality, or quantity of supplies when we did. We do however provide dish soap, but it is a starter size. We do apologize if we forgot to put it out, we would have been more than happy to bring one by the cottage for you. We have two general stores on the island that provide the cooking items listed in the review. We hope y'all enjoyed the island and had the best time on vacation!
