This is a beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo with awesome beach views. End units are larger and the extra windows in them give more ways to enjoy the views. Seeing is believing. It is on the 3rd floor in building 2 at the El Matador. This complex is a gorgeous community of 6 buildings on the beach. It is a gated complex with 24 hour security guards. There is a fitness room, tennis court, basketball court. 2 pools one of which is heated in the winter. This condo has a King size bed in the master bedroom, 2 Full size beds in the guest room and a Queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. it has 3 flat screen TV's all with DVD/VCR players. Wi-Fi access is available.

Clean and cozy with a beautiful view! We had plenty of room for our family of 5. It is the last condo on the strip so the beach was not packed. We would’ve liked to have more updated appliances such as an air fryer and/or Keurig but definitely made due without them. The door lock is a little tricky and takes a little strength to open but was not bad once we figured it out. Unfortunately, the condo was not cleaned properly as we found a pair of swim trunks and undergarments underneath the sink in the first bathroom. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would stay here again.

Poor view from a poorly maintained condo in a great facility.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bulky Foam Mattress stuffed into master bedroom closet, making closet inaccessible. Doors to closet were off tracks. Moved mattress to second bedroom.Faucet set in 2nd bathroom loose and wobbly; needs to be tightened. Spray nozzle in kitchen sink would not retract; weight not in proper place. Had to use masking tape to hold up faucet.Very limited view of gulf. Living room had a HUGE TV; much bigger than needed. Hard on eyes so close to couch.Couldn't be turned to be viewed from dining table. (Excellent picture; would be great in larger room.)Would not stay in that condo again, but will probably return to ElMatador.

Misrepresented

Air conditioner broken for 2 days. Nothing like the pictures shown. Stained bed covers. Not remodeled as stated. Only thing nice was kitchen. Mold in bathroom curtains. Light in shower broken. New pictures should be taken to show real condo! Items in closets stained (pillows and blankets). Will not stay here again.

Great pool and beach access

The location was great and we really enjoyed the pool and beach access. The unit, despite the listing is in need of a lot of updating. the master bath mixer valve was not functioning and we notified management immediatly upon arrival. The overall feel was a unit needing some TLC, despite a remodeled kitchen. We also encountered an A/C failure, Alicia's office was prompt with a repair man (Shout out to Alpine Air) who found a burned wire for the compressor unit on the deck. I was very satisfied with the prompt service we received. We had a great time, but he unit is definately not completely remodeled and needs some attention.

Ft Walton getaway 2021

The room was great and comfortable. Close to the beach and pool. Condo easy drive to grocery store and places to eat. Short drive to kids activities other than the beach. Beach was not over crowded. Over all a great place to relax and enjoy.

Great location Great Area

We love this area and condo. This property was a corner unit and had great views. Short walk to the beach and the beach wasn't even that crowded as we are on the end of the beach. The room was very nice. a few maintenance issues need taken care of but nothing that effected our stay and overall we were very happy with it. We just love El Madator and the units!!!

Will not stay here again.

Beds were terrible. Faucet would not shut off so we had to quit using the shower. We had 6 people using one shower. Very dated. The property manager made very little effort to get the faucet fixed so I took it apart and got it to shut off but we didn’t use it in case it started running again.

Matador building 3

Nice condo just a little dated. Had ac problems first night which was quickly resolved the next day. Condo didn’t provide an iron or hairdryers but we were ok. Quiet and nice pool.

Workout facility met our needs. Rental was clean. The only issue we had was the oven wouldn’t work. We called and left a message and by our second call someone came to fix it but it was our last day. We made due. Not sure how the ice maker worked, no instructions. Would use it again.

The fitness center was better than most Ive used. The room was VERY clean and had everything I needed. The only thing it was missing was a nice balcony view of the ocean. You can see the ocean but I certainly wouldn't call looking around the corner of a building and across a parking lot breathtaking. Very nice condo. I would definitely stay here again.

We own condo next door and was there for our daughters beach wedding. On Sunday the toilet in hall bathroom wouldn't flush. Called management company. They sent someone out on Monday. Said they needed to order part and would take 4 days to get. Had 6 people in condo and had to go through master bedroom bathroom to use the bathroom. Didn't offer to move us. Never heard back from the office. Checked out on Thursday. They didn't even know it wasn't fixed yet. No one offered to move us and when we asked for compensation was told they would have to check with the owner. That was two weeks ago and haven't heard a word. Was very disappointed in the way things were handled.

Nice Room. Could use some cleaning

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was recently renovated with a rather nice kitchen upgrade. All the furniture was also nice and made for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the location at the end of the strip on Okaloosa Island as this meant there was were fewer people on the beach around the condo and we were right next to the undeveloped dunes, which was nice. This is not a room that's "on the beach" like a lot of the other condos we've stayed in before. The balcony overlooks the central area between all the buildings, and while it wasn't bad, we did miss sitting out on a balcony and just watching the ocean. The only major complaint was that the room was quite dusty. This is most likely due to us being the first people to stay there since it was renovated, but the layer of dust was on everything, including all the dishes in the cabinet. A thorough cleaning and dusting after the upgrades were completed would've been nice.
