portola redwoods state park getaway
this is a large, tranquil property very near the entrance of portola redwoods state park. there are 3 cabins, one occupied permanently in the front by a friendly and kind man ,Michael ( and his mom),who are keeping an eye out on everything.
just behind the front cabin, there is a large 3 bedroom cabin which was our base for the park, along with a tiny ,but cozy cabin that was behind it, with plenty of room to stretch out for everybody.
The owners were very easy to work with, and friendly, and have made improvements to the cabins to make them comfortable. There is still work thatneeds to be done to make the cabins and the grounds even better, but the spectacular location and the magical redwoods of portola state park more than make up for a few minor inconveniences. we would happily stay here again.
