Buyer Beware
The house was below expectations especially for the price paid. No. 1:skiing. The place is listed as "ski in-ski out", which seems grounds for a refund since it is not located above or below a ski slope. Slope isn't far away, but requires a phone call and a ski truck to bring you 300 yards or so to slope. No. 2:fireplace. Fireplace was locked and inoperable because of an insurance issue apparently, but warning sticker on fireplace listed Dec 2nd as the future date for inspections. SO, owners knew there would be no fireplace all season but did not change the listing.No. 3:parking. Our group had 4 couples with 4 cars. We were told there were 2 parking spaces, but there was overflow parking. We learned that overflow was 7 miles away, and phone number provided to us knew nothing about it. The man at guard shack warned us they would tow cars without passes, but since this was a quiet weekend we parked 4 cars without issue, but if this was January or February it would have been an issue. The hot tub was warm but green and smelled like a fish tank; we used the extra chlorine tabs provided. There was a small leak in the basement bathroom ceiling, a maintenance guy came on day 3 and said it was from upstairs toilet most likely. They did take trash on last day which was good. Couch was broken, but didn’t affect us. Beds were comfortable, and no issues streaming cable. We had a fun weekend with friends at the place, but I agree with the previous reviewer, - choose another one.
