We enjoyed our stay, there were only five of us and we had plenty of space. Although not a ski i./ski put, but access to the Sachem trail was just a short walk. The kitchen had plenty of cookware to make the food, but the layout was something I wasn’t used to. For instance, some of the cookware is inconveniently located underneath the bar. Also, the silverware and plates are in a hutch across the way. I found myself constantly back and forth between the kitchen and the hutch. The upstairs bathroom and bedroom had heated floors, never had that in a rental. I thought that was a neat feature. The wood for the fireplace was wet and took and took time to get going. There wasn’t anything there to help get the fire going besides a candle lighter, no fire starters or kindling. Fortunately, I know how to start a fire without those, but someone who doesn’t may have a hard time. I saved all the cardboard and paperboard from our food to help light the fires and the extras I left for the next person. The ash bucket was completely full and frozen to the back porch. There weren’t any instructions of where to empty the bucket, should I had busted it loose. There was a trash bag filled with trash from the previous tenant at the top of the stairs near the main entrance, why didn’t the cleaning crew take care of that? I finally took the trash bag to the dumpsters on our third day there.
We did enjoy our stay and made some really awesome family memories.
