Near the beach

Updated two bedroom near the beach with washer/dryer and full size kitchen. Beautiful grounds. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect getaway!

We were very pleased with this condo. The unit was very clean and well kept. The property manager was very responsive and easy to work with. They even left a pie and sweet card for us for Thanksgiving! Our pup loved the short walk to the beach and many pet friendly restaurants nearby. We will definitely be back!

Our VBRO stay in Treetops

Eric's support is a "6". Being handicapped and arthritic, navigating the steps, the thresholds to each room as well as the round doorknobs was a challenge for me. However, it doesn't take away from being a nice place, much space and we enjoyed ourselves.

Pictures were accurate. Ten minutes to the beach and about 15 minutes or so to Coligny plaza.

New floors in dining room/living room and main bedroom. Old stained carpet in second bedroom, but I’ think that will be updated too. The beds and pillows were not comfortable, but I understand it’s not going to be like your own. Beach chairs were missing but with one call we had our chairs early the next morning. Overall, it was clean, close to everything and extremely dog friendly. We would stay there again.

South Forest Beach Delight

This condo is located within a canopy of many tall-shady trees. The open concept kitchen, dining, and living area offered our family ample space to maneuver. And, a bonus screened-in porch added additional comfort for our living space. The nearby pools and beautiful beach became a part of our everyday agenda. Within a mile was a plaza that had some of our favorite shops and restaurants. You could hear live music while dining, or just walking around. And, our renting agent was very attentive to our needs during our entire stay, and responded very quickly whenever contacted. We would recommend this property, and would be willing to rent it again on our next trip.

Spring Break 2024

Great location. Easy walk to the beach, shops, and some restaurants. Condo was basically as pictured. However, there is little natural light in main living space. Both bedrooms have much more light. You can really hear the upstairs neighbors walking around. It was great that the host left more than one role of toilet paper and a few trash bags. The pots and pans in the kitchen could use replacing. They’ve seen better days. Overall the condo is a little dated but a great location and price for our spring break.

Good location and nice property managers

The booking and check in process was very easy and they left a nice hostess gift and good resturant suggestions but the condo itself needed some love. It was clean but the carpet in the 2nd bedroom was stained and smelled and the ceiling in the primary bedroom was moldy. You can tell they did some cosmetic upgrades a few years ago but the kitchen was old and cabinets not the nicest and the floor was wonky and uneven. Small fixes like replacing the rusted vent covers and calking over the rust stained caulk in the batchroom would have gone a long way to make it appear cleaner. The description said there was updated furniture but that must have been a few years ago as the couch showed alot of wear. I understand they allow pets in the unit which we took advantage of but there was a lingering pet scent. We did like the close proximity to Coligiany beach and quieter Forst Beach.

Needs renovation

Our family of four vacationed at this condo in March 2024. The mildew odor was overwhelming & the flooring in the main dining/living area needs attention. The floor boards were taped down (with clear packing tape) & conspicuously covered with mats in other spots. We’re not sure where the mildew odor originated from but perhaps there is subfloor/foundation damage? In any case, the dried up plug in air freshener did not do anything to mask the odor. We left a day early because rainy weather/humidity only made the mildew smell worse & we could no longer tolerate it. Additionally, the refrigerator handle was broken off, the coffee maker didn’t work, only 2 dull knives, king bed sheets had holes. On the positive side, Eric was very responsive when we requested a functional blender. The complex/bldg is quiet & convenient to Coligny circle. The pool area is clean & pleasant. It was a nice touch for the mgmt company to provide a bucket of snacks & kitchen basics on arrival. This could be a great unit but we cannot recommend it on account of the odor.

Nice place but...

Nice place but....mildew. The condo appeared clean, nice location, nice overall property however there was a problem with mildew inside. We should have been concerned when arrived due to the very strong plug-in deodorizer in the front hallway. It clearly masked the mildew odor well. It wasn't until about the third day that we noticed a slight odor when we would return from being out all day. But again, it seemed minor due to the strong plug-in deodorizer. There were also several soft places on the floor, including one place in the living room where there was obvious significant sub floor damage. However, after we checked out and were on our way home ( a seven hour drive), we began to notice the mildew smell more and more in our car-it was coming from our clothes that we were wearing and our clothes bags and anything else that we had in the condo. When we unpacked, the mildew odor was almost unbearable. I've had to wash the clothes that we took twice to get the smell out. Our clothes bags still smell-after being left in the garage for two weeks and repeated deodorizing spays. So, in the end we can't recommend this place, unless it is thoroughly cleaned and whatever is causing the mildew is removed. The property manager was somewhat apologetic-said they were aware of the floor issues and planned to repair in the off-season. But, no apology for the mildew-the condo should not have been rented until that was removed.

Cozy and convenient little place

Overall this place was nice. It is located very conveniently to everything. We had no issues. It is a decent place for the money. Would stay here again. The only thing that was somewhat odd was the unusual odor. When we first arrived we noticed a plug in that was slightly overwhelming, so we unplugged it. We soon found some strange funk that we could not pinpoint. This must have been why the plug-in was being used. On our first morning when we were cleaning up after breakfast, we opened the dishwasher to load and discovered the source of the funk. It was horrendous. It literally caused us to dry heave. It appeared that someone had not competed the last wash cycle and there was decaying food, muck, and stagnate water in the bottom. We closed it up and ran a full wash cycle. Everything normalized afterwards and the awful smell went away with some help of running the fans and opening doors & windows. Need to caveat here - We did not make it an issue for the property manager. We simply attributed it to an oversight of the cleaning crew. Things happen. But this would not dissuade us from staying here again. The place was worth the price and had everything we needed. The lesson learned here, we will be sure to check the dishwashers at future VRBO stays! LoL. In the end, it was insignificant and everything was all good.

Excellent property !

I was concerned, because for the first time I was taking my precious puppy with me. Everything you could need was supplied. Property was immaculate, smelled clean . Plenty of paths for walking my dog in the shade.

Nice little place in a great location!

Great location, dog friendly complex

We enjoyed the location - a great halfway point between Sea Pines and Coligny Beach. Very dog friendly condo complex - in that there were other dogs/ and plenty of areas to walk them. Condo was clean but there were some spots/surfaces that could have used a good scrub. First floor location made condo dark during a February stay - windows let in more shade than sun. That is probably great in hot months but less so in February when as northerners we were seeking sun.

Great Stay!

Exactly as advertised

My wife and I where looking for a place within walking distance to the beach and centrally located on the island. Easy access to tennis and golf. The property was exactly that. It was clean and accommodating. We had a great time.

Great place

Clean, comfortable condo and close to the beach and Colignay Plaza. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Use Forest Park beach entrance to Beach if you want to avoid Colignay crowds.

1st of many trips to HHI

This property is everything you see and more! There's so many details I could mention but I'll highlight the one's that added to our vacation. It's located on the 1st floor, parking was never a problem and it is steps away from the pool! The screened in porch is larger than average but I would recommend maybe adding steps to the grass area off the porch if it's allowed. The kitchen is stocked with all the essential needs along with a nice pantry for storage. The property is stocked with towels, washcloths and bedding for all 3 beds. Netflix and more available in all 3 rooms. The 2nd bedroom tv would only power on and didn't work. The kids had their tablets so I didn't bother contacting the owner. The large closet just as you enter the door is nice because you can store your beach essentials there. The owner has a nice guide that suggests local restaurants, shopping and the best directions to get to the beach! We took our dog and she felt right at home too. There's adequate areas for pets to do their business and trash disposal close enough to for convenience but still far enough way that the odor isn't noticed. Bike racks throughout the parking areas. Again, this property was everything we expected and more!
