While parts of the home are outdated, it was very clean. It was awesome to have access to beach chairs and toys. Our steps to the water wete actually closer than our friend's beachfront condo. We would stay again.

Nickel and Dime…. There are over places in Destin. Friendly at first landlord turned hostile over “pet friendly” clause of contract. “Pet friendly” means 125 to bring harmless cat. Landlord angry that I dd not declare cat, which was an oversight as I have not booked with an animal before. As an attorney, “meeting of the minds” actually means something legally, and I did not agree to pay 125 extra upon booking.Days after trip, landlord sends multiple messages demanding 125 dollars, even though cat did no damage

Excellent location, it is across the street from the beach and is less than a 2 minute walk. The home was perfect for me and my 9yr child. It was clean and well stocked with amenities. Loved the outdoor shower and clothes line- it made cleaning up from the beach simple and we were able to hang our towels and swimsuits up to dry. The hosts were very responsive to all messages.

Great location

Great neighborhood and a short walk to the beach. Beds were comfortable. Screened in porch was nice to have when the rain started cause we could still sit outside. I was aware of the cameras pointed to the doorways but didn’t really like they were over the backyard/sitting area also. But other than that, everything was great.

A perfect location for families

This property was pretty darn perfect for my family of 4 (two kids aged 8&5). It was about 100 yards down a neighborhood street down to steps that led to the beach. Molly allowed us to use her beach wagon and boogie boards, which was so helpful! We had a little difficulty obtaining the door code from the owners, so wish the communication about the check in would have been better. Overall, this place was awesome and we will definitely be back!

We loved this home! Molly and Steve were wonderful host and i adored the area. The house was just big enough for my little family and our dog. Will be staying with them again!

Exactly as described. Clean and well kept inside. Closeness to beach was perfect. Only thing would be the yard. Very nice place to hang out in the back yard IF it were cleaned up. Old ripped cushions and chairs should be thrown away. Maybe even string a few lights over area. All in all pleased. Would visit again. Thank you!

Love this Cottage

Cozy single family Cottage. Few minutes walk and you are at the beach. Within minutes of grocery stores, restaurants, The Harbor and Boardwalk. I will definitely stay here again and reccommend it to others alsoothers

Clean, comfortable, close to the beach. I asked if dogs were allowed on the beach when booking my trip I was told they were finding out when I got there nope ! Disappointed 😞

White sands, beautiful gulf water, great eats

Wonderful stay. Home was as listed. One block from beach access. AC is cold. It was nice since we had temperatures in the 90s. Molly was a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend the Pompano Cottage. PS the bed was very comfortable.

Great Week

The house had everything you could ask for and the proximity to the beach was great. We could walk back and forth everyday with no issues or problems. The house was cozy and provided a good night sleep every night. Close to all restaurants and shopping. It was just me and my two kids who are 18+ and it was perfect for our family.

Loved the stay

I absolutely loved this beach house! Steve and Molly are very welcoming and awesome people. I loved that it was stocked and accommodating. I ABSOLUTELY loved that it is so close to the beautiful beach and it has a washer and dryer. I am going to book it for next year again!

Great Location, Clean, Small

The location is spot on which is why we chose to stay here. The reviews concerning the cleanliness of the property are also spot on.. the beds are comfortable the home is clean the coffee maker is amazing! Overall, for my group of five, I would not stay here again. The pull-out couch is not it, and the home is just too small for everyone to be comfortable. If there was a nice sitting area out back, that would probably be a game changer. All that said, host was great, it was clean, and oh so close to the beach which is why I gave 4/5 stars.

Perfect for what we were looking for

We wanted something that was not a condo, but was close to the beach, and this fit the bill perfectly. We only had to walk a block and a half and we hit those soft white sand beaches of the public beach. This place is a little older, but it was a comfy place to come "home" to in the afternoons after a day in the sun. Steve was very prompt and helpful with all of our questions.

Great location

This is a classic old Florida beach property. The location is what makes it such a gem. Easiest walk to that sugar white sand we have ever had. The house is accommodating but small. Lots of seating out back and nice little screen porch on front. Gently worn but comfortable and again, the location!
