Rosalind was very accomodating and the 25 people thoroughly enjoyed the pool and proximity to the beach. There was plenty of room to roam and we appreciated being off the beaten path.

Great! Mrs. Brooks was very responsive and had a solution to all my questions! The house has been updated a bit since my family and I last stayed in 2022. We were very appreciative of that! Overall a great experience!

Girls Trip

I really don’t want to give this place a high rating because then when I want to rent it again, it won’t be available.This place was absolutely perfect for us and the owner is amazing and very responsive!!!Loved the fact that we felt out in the country away from all the noise, but were very close to everything.The house has more than enough room for everyone and all of us being 60, the elevator was a huge hit!We used the pool every day and the temperature was perfect.Would love to rent it again and again!!!

Lone Star Motorcycle Rally 2024

We drove in from far & arrived at 2:30 at the location to see where the place was & as we arrived a lady was there and a bit rude yelled out that check in was not till past 4 pm and added the comment of unless you going to pay extra. So, it was not a warm welcome & to only come back at 4 pm and read the house rules that read that check in was at 3 pm. It was contradicting & already a sour taste to our start of our trip. The internet did not work and we were not able to use the tv's or the internet. The towels were a bit smelly as some of the pillows. It stated it had a heated pool, but it was not heated, it was cold- and no directions on how to work the heat on it. It did have an elevator that worked and was very useful to carry our luggage up to the rooms. There were plenty of rooms and beds to accommodate everyone. We were a small group of 6 that ended up staying so it was perfect space to accommodate everyone.

Family reunion

THE perfect place for a family gathering. Pool is in good condition, the house is unbelievable. Its hard to believe until you get there. We had a 2 day event & the owner checked on us & made sure that we were having a good time.

Felt "nickel-and-dimed" for basic supplies

Let me begin by saying that this is not the first place that we have rented as a family. This is the first time that items for basic needs were not provided. We had a conversation about not enough towels, and no trash bags, and you stated that someone would be bringing some. Apparently, this is a line that has been told to other tenants; no one showed up for them or for us, either. We ended up having to buy toilet paper, paper towels, actual towels, dishwasher tablets, trash bags, and cleaning wipes. The washing machine did not drain, apparently the cable bill had not been paid, as there was a notice on the tv to that effect, so we had no wifi or television. Only one shower had hot water. The bunk beds had little support; our teenager felt safer sleeping on the couch. There were positives: It was a very nice property. The pool was nice (although the filter needed to be cleaned, badly, which we did). It was great having 4 refrigerators, and ice makers. We appreciated the big kitchen and played family games at the large dining table. The garage area was perfect for hanging out after the pool. I just feel that expecting people to bring the supplies that we had to purchase was asking too much; who brings those things on vacation? It would have been easy to bring this up to a 4-5 star property, with a little more consideration. Perhaps you've had bad results with other tenants taking those things, I don't know. But all in all, we made the best of it, and enjoyed our stay.

We booked a month ago, when we checked in and try to connect the Wi-Fi it was shows us the property owner hasn’t paid the bill. I wonder why did they waited and when we called the owner it’s keep going to voice mail

It was a ok house but one of the reasons why we booked this house is because of the elevator but it was broken and I didn't know anything about it until we were trying to get it to work and it didn't. I sent a email asking about it and was told it was broken. I had family that couldn't go up and down stairs so they were limited to downstairs. It would be nice to known this before hand. Also the the house needs to be updated. The beds were not that comfortable either. Be prepared to bring your own paper towels, trash bags etc. The pool was refreshing but make sure you have insect repellent. The insect are very bad around the pool. Also the pool could be updated too. We did have fun but at the elevator was very disappointing.

Graduation/Going to the Navy Party

We enjoyed our stay here at this house. It was very roomy and we enjoyed the swimming pool. The owner, Mrs Brooks was awesome. She called to check up on us to make sure everything was good. We will definitely be renting this property again for future family gatherings.

Amazing home

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean and decorated beautifully. The elevator came in great use for my son who has a disability and can’t use the stairs. The owner was very gracious and made checking in a breeze.

If I had known before hand

Pros:Large property, elevator, pool, outdoor shower, large yard, parking, quiet location, 2 porches, numerous tvs, four refrigerators, cold a/c. Cons:Key to elevator was not available at check in. Had to travel 90 minutes get it. Wifi & television non existent first day. Downstairs apartment smell bad. Downstairs bathroom hot water difficult to get. One bedroom has double mattress on a broken queen frame. No lawn chairs for beach. Skillets in poor condition. More silverware needed. No grilling utensils. Bring your own garbage bags, kitchen towels, silverware, dish soap, & toilet paper-only enough provided for one day. No swim towels or laundry soap. Floors appeared unclean & bugs everywhere on arrival. Front storm door spring & back door screen are broken. Safety issue, tight metal spiral staircase right as exiting the elevator. Elevator is pitch dark unless button is held down. Waterslide water hose broken. Stickers in grass around pool. A/C controls are locked. Bugs are an issue. It worked for what we needed, but could have been better. Host issues can be fixed.

Nice!

I told Ms. Rosalind that she needed to update her pictures on VRBO because the property is nicer than the pictures shown. She really worked well with me. My family who trusted us to get the property was pleased and asked us to look into planning to stay at the home again for the next family trip. The pool was truly heated. She didn't talk much about the downstairs garage room--very roomy with lots of tables and chairs. We didn't get to use the ping pong table because it was folded. Extra refrigerators that seemed ideal for storing fish if you go fishing--wont interfere with regular refrigerators. Only wish she had a vent in the upstairs kitchen--i was a little afraid of smelling the house. I would certainly stay again. Lots of extras.

Suprise 60th birthday celebration

Property was awesome and the host was even better. This house had everything we needed to ensure that we had a great time. Host checked in several times to make sure we didnt need anything. Enjoyed our wonderful trip to Galveston to suprise my aunt for her 60th birthday. Thanks for having us!!!!

Great stay!

We were expecting 6 full bedrooms, because I didn’t read the entire listing, but Mrs Rosalind was great and very attentive. When we had any questions she was always available and ready with answers. The stay was so good our grandkids asked if we could stay forever. Highly recommend!

It is what it is.

We chose this property for the Handicap access which worked well and was adequate in sleeping arrangements. We had 9 adults. 5 siblings and 4 spouses for a family get away. When we stayed there were no top sheets on any of the beds which we found odd. No water pressure in the Master shower, no hot water in the downstairs bath and the main bath upstairs didn't drain too well. The canopy on the upstairs deck doesn't work. Be sure to get the Property Damage protection policy because all appliances (except the upstairs stove, which broke while we were there) are old and could break at any time. It's been 8 weeks since we stayed at this property and I still haven't received my "refundable" deposit back. Ms Brooks is not the easiest person to work with. She hasn’t filed the proper claims for reimbursement and is holding the refundable deposit, won’t return calls or answer text messages. JUST BE PREPARED.

We had visit the house before and every year that we are back it’s top to top with everything All amenities that a big family needs Lots of room for everyone anything need it is there Check in was great The kiddos loved the pool and we played music and cooked outside our best hobby to enjoy during a vacation time Thank you so much ! If you are looking for a property you can definitely count on this house for big families and for a great gateway .. We loved the ping pong table that was a plus surprise to see in the garage Cleanliness on everything was also very good!!!

Best rental I've stayed at so far

Very clean and spacious property. Home owners were great with communication and helpful when I had questions! As a swimming pool contractor I was impressed with with pool and the area around it. Everything was up to code and safe. No gaps in fencing and lad lock on gate with a top latch also

INAUSCA Texas Edition Fiesta celebration

Big place just enough for our family and close relatives and friends. With 3 full baths, 3 refrigerators and 2 kitchens. Plenty of rooms to accommodate us. Other family members were having tents outside for the night because of the huge ground. Elevator was a plus for the oldies with arthritic pain. It was hot during the weekend, so the younger ones played ping pong the garage. We were supposed to play badminton and volleyball in the ground or yard, but it was too hot. This house rental is the only one I found which allows events. We had karaoke night and then dancing. We had so much fun knowing we were just staying there. The occasion was ‘Till morning the night’. Thank you Ms Rosalind Brooks for allowing us to check in few min ahead of time. This is highly recommended for a group or family get together.

Bad-Good-Summary

1st- Upon arriving at the property it was in disarray. Housekeeping was working frantically to get the house cleaned and ready for us(we arrived 30min early but there was ALOT more than 30min worth of cleaning to be done). There was broken chairs around the pool, the BBQ area was unclean with even food left on one of the grills, the ground was covered with what must have been a water balloon fight remains, food left in the gaming area downstairs, trash around the property grounds, ALL the garbage cans were on the road OVERFLOWING with garbage, No towels left out for use(NONE), no washcloths(NONE), no hand towels(NONE) and no keys to the property in the lockbox. We waited patiently until 4pm check in and then housekeeping said upstairs was ready and they were still working on downstairs. Needless to say at this point I was attempting to contact Property Owner Rosalind Brooks to notify her of the situation. Well....housekeeping left and I'll say they did a good(not great) job of cleaning rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and floors. Grandson finally found the keys to the property under one of the TV's downstairs bedrooms. Housekeeping's manager came back to the property around 6:30 0r 7 and got some towels, dishtowels and washcloths out of a storage room for us. Miss Brooks also contacted me that evening and apologized for the condition of the property and said she would be there the next day. Well....that was the arrival. 2nd- The next day and for the remainder of our stay we found the property to be dated but very nice for a large group(we had 6 adults and 7 teen-preteen young ones, 13 overall). Elevator IS a nice touch with the main kitchen being upstairs and helping with back and forth. Pool was nice(needed some attention but was manageable). Grills were serviceable(AFTER Cleaning). Lots of refrigerators and tables for large group. In summary of our stay...we had Good and Bad. The arrival was a disaster but after meeting with Miss Brooks I understood a little better(some people don't have ANY respect for another persons property). The Pool was nice and the elevator is nice if you need it. Large groups will do well there and it is only a short drive to the beach. I've stayed at many property's and for the price I would not stay at this property again, mainly because of the issues upon arrival. Roasalind is very nice and she'll do everything she can to make your stay enjoyable. Just hope you don't have to follow bad renters like we did.
