Josefina's King Suite is located just off the Plaza in Historic Old Mesilla. Behind the thick adobe walls, you will find this tranquil retreat. Charmed by the ambiance of our historic Southwestern design and the Garden Greenhouse, our luxurious King Suite offers a cozy step back in time, weaving together old world charm and modern comforts like WIFI, mini fridge, AC, plush bathrobes and more. If the King is already booked, please check out our Queen Suite!

Please be Informed: VRBO Guests who have no previous trips, reviews, and/or have less than 4 or 5 star ratings will be required to pay a refundable security deposit after reservation has been accepted.

If security deposit isn’t paid within 24 hours of us accepting their request, we will have to cancel reservation. Same day bookings need to be paid immediately. After guests have checked out and housekeeping has confirmed no damages reported, we will then refund guests the deposit.

We enforce this safety policy because of other guests, ourselves and our property. Unfortunately we have found that this is necessary because of some negative experiences with past guests with whom we gave a chance, and we thank you for your understanding and support!

Guests will be required to have an established VRBO profile with 4 or 5 star reviews! Again Thank You So Much!

Quaint, roomy property. AC instructions were misleading but owner resolved issue quickly. Bed was terrible, zero support. Otherwise excellent experience.

Historic luxury

Beautiful property in an historic building. Private and beautiful greenhouse surrounds room entry. Walking distance to all shops and many restaurants.

Absolutely Gorgeous!!

Wow! What a beautiful and unique place to stay. The hosts thought of everything!! I would recommend staying more than one night. I would have loved to sit in the courtyard and read all afternoon, if I'd had the time. We'd love to bring another couple next time to stay in the adjacent suite. You will not regret staying in this beautiful, historic suite.

A one night stay in Messilla

Was excited to stay at this historic inn close to the Messilla Square for a few years. The opportunity came up for a quick visit back in the area and we were lucky to get a room for one night. Now, we want to come back for a longer stay . We stayed in the King suite and it was lovely !
The greenhouse was special!

Gem in Mesilla, NM

The only problem with our stay was that it wasn’t long enough! This casita was absolutely adorable, very comfortable, and so quiet. We look forward to staying there another time, for more nights. Lovely special touches like real creamers in the fridge, a bowl of Easter chocolates, and real glasses and coffee mugs. The greenhouse entry was peaceful and welcoming.

Had a wonderful time

We enjoyed the room and amenities. The bed was comfortable, loved the bedframe. The sitting area had a leather chair and a divan sofa which was great for reading and relaxing. A Keurig was provided with lots of choices; I had a coffee; my wife chose the cider and sleepy time tea.We happened to arrive in the middle of a polar vortex, so the wall HVAC took a while to get the room warm. It was in a really convenient location. The Mesilla Plaza was just around the corner. A nice coffee shop was right next door. La Posta was a 5-minute walk.

Magical Mesilla

The property is right on Mesilla Plaza giving easy access to everything in walking distance Easy access to Las Cruces when we wanted to check out museums and farmers markets. The king room was well done with comfortable accommodations and even a fire place to keep things cozy. Lots of thoughtful amenities.

Quaint, Cozy, Quiet

My wife and I went to visit family in Las Cruces for a weekend. This quaint one bedroom, one bathroom accommodation was cozy and quiet. It had everything we needed for our two night stay at an affordable price. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance and we took advantage of them.

Josefina's is conveniently located just off the Historic Mesilla Plaza. In and around the Plaza you will find delicious eats at the legendary La Posta. Or grab some decadent chocolates from The Chocolate Lady and a glass of wine at NM Vintage Wines, both located within the plaza and steps from our little Movie house, The Fountain Theatre.

Other favorite spots are Double Eagle Bar--elegant, old world charm--and Andele's Dog House...all walking distance from the Suites. Right around the corner is The Bean at Josefina's...a lovely coffee shop with patio. You are also just a short walk or drive to other Mesilla local favorites for food and drink such as Farmesilla, Paisano's, and Lescombes Winery and Restaurant!
