Stunning property sheer heaven

Our stay was lovely. The pool and surrounding view were stunning. The house is lovely and has everything that you need. We are so pleased we went shopping before hand, as the turn off road was an eye opener with its twsts and bumps. pleased not to need to do it again straight after a day of travel. We actually loved coming and going from the house, it made us feel like adventurers :-) We enjoyed the peace and tranquility Competa is only 10mins down the road and has a selection of small supermarkets. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants that feeling of peace and awe One small thing, we were guided to look for a restaurant with flags to meet our escort to the property. apparently we could not miss it. Having no phone sinal in many places we drove nearly to Competa still seeing no flags. When we got signal we googled the restaurant name and drove back and found it. But not a flag in sight. Probably best not to give flags as a marker as they made us not look for the place by name. Once we had found it evverything was great then on.

Wonderful villa does not do this place justice! Idyllic, everything that you need and so much more... so much space amazing view and soooo comfortable... Carl was fab, checking in so smooth and he wss really helpful booking taxis and giving information too. Its a must if you are looking in this are...

Gorgeous luxury villa with amazing views in Cómpeta!

In June 2023 we stayed for 3 weeks in this gorgeous luxury villa in Cómpeta, Andalucia, Spain. It's a beautiful house, the photos on VRBO don't do this house justice at all! It's a lot bigger than we thought, large rooms and bathrooms and big lounge and kitchen. Outside there's a lot of space around the big pool, the covered terrace is large with a very nice seating and dining area. The ceilingfans here are very convenient! There's also a seperate BBQ-area right next to the villa. Enough sunbeds near the pool for relaxing and sunbathing. Inside the house is nicely furbished and decorated. And it has everything you need for your holiday. The kitchen has all the appliances you need. The beds are good and comfortable. Airconditioning in every room, as well as ceilingfans.The views from this villa are stunning, looking out over the hills and mountains of the Cómpeta area all the way to the mediterrean sea. Communication with Maryrose through the VRBO site was easy. And she was also reachable by phone. Phonereception is difficult on this mountain, but the WiFi in the house worked perfectly. The dirttrack road from the main road to the villa is challenging and we would definitely recommend using an SUV-type of car. But we were told that in 2024 the whole road will be concrete. The property managers Carl and Jenny are very friendly and helpful when needed and are always just a text or call away. We loved our holiday here and recommend it to everyone!

An exceptional villa

In one word..... WOW. Photos do not do this property justice. We never wanted to leave. The love oozes from every inch of this property. Well equipped, pristine with an amazing host. Slight downside is the access road up to the property. Ideally, a vehicle is required that is high enough to clear the uneven surface without grounding. Easily overcome by renting an alternate vehicle to our own for the duration. We will definitely visit again. Thank you so much.

Peace and quiet in idyllic surroundings

Excellent villa in a fantasic spot in the hills, with great sea views. Villa was fully equipped and very comfortable. The pictures don't do it justice - lots of space and plenty of places to be in our out of the sun. Large pool was perfect to cool off on the hot sunny days. We hired the villa for a chill out week and that's exactly what we got. Best if you can bring some groceries with you, although there is a supermarket or two in Competa - albeit a nervy driving experience through the narrow 2 way streets. Would definitely use again.

Family holiday

The villa was perfect, equipped with everything required for a family of 5 adults & 2 kids, who spent most of the week in the lovely pool. Very private with beautiful views of the hills & sea. Not forgetting the weather, which was perfect.

Perfect villa with perfect views.

Excellently maintained property. Much larger and spacious than we had expected. The facilities were good, the outside lounging/ dining area was lovely and the swimming pool superb! The views were amazing from every point outside the villa and one of the things we most enjoyed was stargazing from the garden with a glass of vino - the sky was amazingly clear at night . All the bedrooms were large and the wetrooms good. The largest bathroom had a huge amount of space and my mobility impaired husband was able to move around easily. The owner was very quick to respond when there was a problem with the air con and the caretakers Jenny and Carl were very good. The outside kitchen was a great facility- it would have been 100% with an outside fridge but that is being picky. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the villa and would like to stay there again in the future. I would recommend the villa to anyone who needs a bit of space and good facilities. We chose it because of my husband mobility issues and it was perfect for him. I have to say that we didn't spend too many of our waking hours indoors as the outside space was so inviting. Thank you Maryrose.

J’ai passé un excellent séjour. On ne se lasse jamais de la vue montagne et mer. Très calme difficile de partir découvrir la région tellement on est bien au bord de la piscine. Les personnes en charge de l’installation et de l’entretien sont adorables j’ai adoré. 🌞🥰🌞

Casa maravillosa en la sierra.

La casa tiene todo lo que se necesita, y es muy cómoda. La tranquilidad de la zona y las vistas inmejorables. La piscina y el porche de la casa te dan media vida.La única pega que tiene es la carretera de acceso 20 minutos curvas y para entrar a la casa un camino mal asfaltado que deberían arreglar. Por lo demás una estancia muy agradable.

Una villa con encanto

Hemos estado una semana y la Villa está situada en un sitio fabuloso, en plena sierra. El camino de entrada no está asfaltado, es de gravilla y con curvas. El cuanto a la Villa, preciosa, habitaciones grandes y muy cómoda. Lo único malo, sobre todo si vas con niños, es que estando es España no se ve ningún canal de televisión en español. Por lo demás, todo estupendo, lo recomiendo al 100%.

Peace and Tranquillity

We have recently returned from a wonderful week staying at the Casa del Zorro. A beautiful villa set on the hillside is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The villa is well appointed with everything you need for a perfect relaxing stay. Check in was hassle free which remained the theme for the rest of the week. Views from the poolside are stunning as is the town of Competa with a good selection of restaurants. Would happily recommend a stay at Casa del Zorro to anyone.

Villa Zorro

Fantastic villa with wonderful views. Jenny and Carl were so very kind and helpful (we were 4 elderly travellers, 3 with disabilities) and nothing was too much trouble. The villa is approached by a very long winding track which took a bit of getting used to but it was worth the narrowness and steepness for the total seclusion. Everything you needed was in the villa and the swimming pool was first class.

What a villa...

We spent 9 days in this amazing house with children and grandchildren in June.The house is perfect for families or couples traveling together. There are three bedrooms en suite. Large living room, large kitchen and a great outdoor area.The road to the house is not a problem as mentioned in other reviews. Reception, introduction to the house and facilities as well as check worked out perfectly.The view from the house was probably the most positive surprise. No matter where you are, there is a magnificent view to the mountains and the sea.

Beautiful

Well equipped, spacious villa with lovely pool and stunning views. Competa is a pretty little village with good value cafe bars. Only negative observation is that the road approaching the villa is more of a dirt track in parts and a little narrow.

Would have been 5* if the pool had been heated. Lovely property.

We all decided to drop a star due to the pool heating being broken. As a family we usually spend most of the afternoon and evening in the pool doing silly things like it's a knockout! The pool was usable and would have been superb if heated but for 2 of our party it was too cold. When searching for a property, priority is a heated pool so it just took the edge of the holiday, although it wasn't the owners fault that the pump was broken! Apart from that the property was absolutely amazing. Everything you could possibly need! The views are beautiful and we were blessed with great weather for May. The road leading up to the villa is a bit rough but no problem if you take it steady. The supermarkets in Competa stock everything one might need and we enjoyed all the restaurants we ate in. We loved watching the goat herder taking his flock home every day....a real treat! Hope this comes across as a fair review! 😁
