Nice, but room for improvement

While we enjoyed our stay, things could be improved. Pool area was very overgrown and not cut until 7 days into our holiday. Even then all the cuttings went into the pool. Once the grass was cut it was lovely. Pool house is great and brilliant to cook in. Area outside house had many weeds and needed to be brushed, rear garden (not shown on photos) is a missed opportunity and could be a be a beautiful place to sit or sunbathe. TV wasn't working when we arrived, so we sadly missed a week of the Olympics. There is nowhere, other than the fridge to store food. The stairs are really not suitable for the very young or those with mobility issues. Berbiguières is however a beautiful village, everyone we met was just lovely. Special thanks must go to Jacqui for her friendly welcome and her help during our stay.

Fabulous holiday home

The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The fans in the bedrooms were very welcome on the warmest nights. The pool was great - very clean and a good size - and the pool house with toilet, fridge and cooking facilities was brilliant. The setting is gorgeous and the area beautiful. Jacqui looked after us really well and we knew we could call on her if we needed anything.

Vacances au top

Cadre sublime, piscine top, acceuil chaleureux (avec en plus un petit cadeau de bienvenue), proches de tous les villages du top 10 du pérogord noir. Propriétaires de très bon conseil pour les visites et balades que nous avions souhaité faire. Bref nous reviendrons à coup sûr l'an prochain. Merci encore à jacqui😘

Zo leeft God in Frankrijk

Wie van rust houdt en van authenticiteit is hier aan het juiste adres! Een prachtig huis, dat van meer dan alle gemakken is voorzien. Een schaduwrijke patio direct bij het huis en een heerlijke afgesloten zonnige tuin met parkeren en een fijn zwembad aan de overkant van het smalle straatje. Vanaf het huis kun je prachtige wandelingen maken, zelfs langs de Dordogne! Boodschappen doe je in St Cyprien, op 4 km afstand met o.a. een topbakker en een goede slager en ook bezienswaardigheden liggen allemaal dichtbij. Een fantastische uitvalsbasis voor een vakantie in de Dordogne!

Lovely stay

Had a lovely stay here in June - house is well set up with all you need. Pool area is so nice! Found location good - as easy access to St Cyprien for supplies and for heading off to see the tourist sites. Special thanks to Jacqui for looking after us! Excellent séjour ! Charmante maison de caractère, très calme, confortable. Jardin et piscine superbe très bien équipés. Pool house avec cuisine d'été complète avec une plancha idéale pour les repas en terrasse. Logis très bien équipée, propreté impeccable et accueil formidable. Excellent séjour en Dordogne

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine à Berbiguières. La maison est très agréable ainsi que la piscine et le Pool House. Elle est très bien adaptée aux familles. La localisation est idéale pour visiter la Dordogne. Un grand merci pour l'accueil et les différents échanges que nous avons pu avoir concernant notre séjour.

A Home from Home

We spent the most wonderful 10 days at the property - our first holiday since the start of the pandemic. The house is picture perfect, constructed from honey coloured stone with creeping wisteria to the front. The outside spaces were wonderful - there's a lovely coffee spot at the front of the house to catch the morning sun and a covered area in the yard should you need shade or the weather is not so kind. The garden, pool and pool house were fabulous. There was little need to move all day when sunbathing as there was a toilet available and fridge and cooking facilities. We enjoyed several evening meals by the poolhouse, using the plancha to cook, and enjoying fabulous views of the village and chateau from the shaded dining area. The house provided everything you might need. The kitchen was well-equipped to self-cater, with a washing machine as well. The bathroom was clean and airy. The three bedrooms were a good size, with comfortable beds and lovely, soft bedlinen. For hot nights, there are fans to help keep cool, but we enjoyed having the windows wide open and enjoying the sounds of the French countryside, late night frogs and early morning bird song. The village of Berbiguieres is beautiful and peaceful, with lots of opportunity for walking. St Cyprien is about a 10 minute drive from the house, and offers good amenities. Visit the Sunday morning market for supplies - we purchased some wonderful meals and produce from local vendors. Overall, we loved Christophe and Sandrine's property and would definitely choose to stay here again.

Excellent from start to finish

We had a fabulous stay at your property, which is beautiful and Jacqui, who lives nearby, is simply wonderful. The area is remote yet within reach of everything you need. Property was clean and the fans were very much appreciated in the 40 degree heat. It was superb from start to finish for our family of 6. Thank you. Bedford family.

Le calme et le charme

Notre semaine est passée en un clin d’œil. La maison est pleine de charme et offre plusieurs espaces pour être ensemble ou s’isoler. La literie est top ce qui n’est pas toujours le cas dabs les maisons de vacances. La piscine est très agréable et permet de profiter du soleil du matin jusqu’au soir. Quant à la région que de belles et bonnes choses à découvrir : châteaux, bastides, marchés, grottes, Dordogne, restaurants et produits extraordinaires. Nous avons déjà hâte de revenir car le temps nous a vraiment vraiment manqué. Très belle maison de vacances

Séjour parfait. La maison est très bien entretenue, bien équipée, il y a vraiment tout ce qu'il faut. Il y avait même été rajouté le nécessaire pour accueillir un bébé (lit parapluie, réhausseur de chaise, etc). La piscine est top, la cuisine d'été avec plancha aussi. En conclusion, aucun défaut. Nous avons été ravis. Merci.

Perfect summer getaway

We really have had the most wonderful holiday. We were there with our three boys aged 15, 13 and 7 who had the time of their lives in the pool. We were met by Christine and Philipe who were really friendly and helpful and Philipe popped by every other day to clean the pool and make sure everything was ok. We were also contacted regularly by Christophe (the owner) who wanted to check that we were enjoying our holiday and had everything we needed. The house is lovely with a covered sitting out area where we could keep cool. Each bedroom had a fan which was definitely needed and which I thought was a great touch. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need. The village is picture perfect, so quiet and peaceful and so close to lots of activities and beauty spots. The highlight has to be the pool and the pool house. It is spotlessly clean and the setting is wonderful. We were all in the pool every day. A real gem.

Fantastic!

One week in paradise! The house is just as charming as in the listing. Old house that has been beautifully restored and modernised. An the pool was perfect with temperatures above 30 degrees all week...! Christophe has been very responsive all the way, and Christine managing the house were just a quick phonecall away. All in all a perfect holiday!
