Mountain views for miles from the front porch or back deck make you forget that you're only 11 miles outside of beautiful Wellsboro, home of the PA Grand Canyon!

House was clean except for the outside garbage bin & under the stove. The garbage bins were loaded with mouse droppings & stink. I get that we're in the country & there's garbage in there however it's filthy in the trash bin. One shower leaked so bad, we wouldn't use it because we didn't want to keep making puddles on the floor. The representative advised us to put towels on the floor. She also advised me that the owner knew about it as did she. There were 5 of us using 1 shower. Not terrible. I know. The representative did end up coming the next day saying she got a call from the owner. She brought a shower curtain rod & curtain to put inside the stall shower. There just wasn't enough room we thought so we opted not to put that up. The stove... it was clean on top but underneath was filthy. I looked under after seeing a very fast bug run back there from the counter. We believe we know what it was, however the representative suggested it may have been something else like a stink bug. She suggested glue traps. The following day she advised she got a call from the owner & that an exterminator would be coming the Monday after we left. I get that. What was a bit maddening was being dismissed prior to the owner calling her. Had she just took care of it, I would not be complaining.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you found the house itself to be clean, but we’d like to clarify a few of the concerns mentioned in your review. Regarding the shower, we want all future guests to know that the shower is in proper working order the issue was a small amount of water dripping from the lower right corner of the shower door in the primary bedroom. This is not an excessive leak, and the water is easily caught with a bathmat or towel. When the concern was reported, our representative provided that immediate solution and also offered to bring a shower rod and curtain. She returned to the property the following day with these items and also addressed the other concern you had reported. Regarding the bug under the stove, when MVR Vacation Rentals was first notified, we immediately offered to bring sticky traps to the property. When our representative returned the following day, she brought and left additional sticky traps in the area of concern. We also communicated that an exterminator would be scheduled to further investigate following your departure. As of our follow-up, no pests have been seen or caught on the sticky traps that were placed. We understand that encountering an unexpected issue during a stay can be frustrating. However, MVR Vacation Rentals did make immediate efforts to respond to the concerns brought to our attention and offered solutions. Our goal is always to address guest concerns promptly and work toward a reasonable solution.

Tucked away gem!

This was a beautiful, quiet place to stay. One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. I can’t recommend this place enough!!!The view of the mountains was exceptional and exactly what I was looking for.
