Hello, my stay had its high points and its low points. The high points were the quietness of the streets of Nuevo Portil and the friendliness of the people who generally live there. The pool was also one of the best points because it was never too crowded and you could enjoy it and relax. The staff who handed over the apartment keys was also very friendly and attentive. The bad points were that the beaches are horrible, with lots of shells on the ground; you can't walk barefoot in the water without getting hurt. The apartment is a real oven, and the air conditioning in the master bedroom turns on but doesn't get cold. The air conditioning in the attic, which is the hottest room, didn't even work. The children had very difficult nights because it was much, much hotter in the house than outside. The kitchen had a plague of ants, which I had to buy insecticide to get rid of, which wasn't easy because they were stubborn and kept appearing. The same thing happened in the patio. The restaurants in the area are also terrible, not to mention those in Huelva. It must be because I'm Portuguese and I'm used to eating well. It wasn't a very negative experience, but it certainly wasn't positive either. I won't be returning to the accommodation, much less to the south of Spain...
