Ubicación y entorno perfecto

La casa es tal cuál las fotos. Ubicada en un entorno y barrio muy bonito y cuidado, muy cerca de la playa. Tuvieron el detalle de dejarnos una cesta con unas botellas de champán y algo para picotear que agradecimos mucho. Por poner un pero los colchones, eran un poco incómodos. Repetiría .

Semana de ensueño

La casa de Paul tiene todo lo que se puede pedir en un destino vacacional: casa en buen estado, limpia (con un bonito detalle de recepción) y bien equipada. El trato con la inmobiliaria mediadora fue siempre muy atento y amable, así que la estancia fue muy agradable también en ese sentido. Como algo para mejorar, podemos decir que tuvimos problemas para que funcionara el wifi por incidencias con la conexión. Aunque finalmente no pudimos disfrutar de él en esa semana, la agencia contactó con la empresa de cable varias veces. Espero que los próximos inquilinos se lo encuentren ya solucionado. En cuanto a su ubicación, la casa está realmente cerca de la playa y se puede ir andando sin problemas. También hay terrazas, restaurantes y puestos cerca, y dentro de la urbanización hay una buena piscina (también una infantil más pequeña) y pistas de pádel. Aunque la terraza y dos habitaciones dan para las pistas y una zona de árboles, debo decir que nosotros no notamos excesivo ruido; por lo general, ha sido una estancia muy tranquila. En fin, hemos pasado una gran semana en familia, disfrutando de comidas en la terraza de la casa y los alrededores. Era justo lo que buscábamos y estamos muy felices de haber podido pasar estos (cortos) 7 días en ese “pequeño paraíso”.

Muy limpio y con todos los servicios esperados para una magnífica estancia.. El único "pero" es el hecho de estar junto a las pistas de Paddle, puesto que, a partir de las nueve de la mañana, hasta las 11 de la noche, uno está expuesto a oír el ruido del peloteo, lo que puede ser molesto en ocasiones.

Simply wonderful

It’s been a wonderful experience in Paul’s house. No wonder it’s called “Pequeño Paraiso”. The house is great, very well located, clean and fully comfortable. Paul was a great host, before, during and after our stay. If you plan to stay in the area, and discover the wonderful beaches and enjoy the great gastronomy, this is a perfect place to stay.

Schönes Haus

Das Haus war sehr schön und sauber. Bei der Ankunft haben wir erst das Office nicht direkt gefunden zum Schlüssel abholen. Aber nach einem kurzen Anruf war das auch schnell geklärt. Uns wurde kurz der Pool und dann unser Haus gezeigt. Es sind 140 qm auf insgesamt 3 Etagen. Eine Terrasse und im 1. Und 2. Stock ein Balkon. Es wurde ein Reisebett für meine kleine Tochter aufgestellt und ein Hochstuhl wurde bereit gestellt. Es gab Plastikgeschirr für die Kinder und in manchen Steckdosen war auch eine Kindersicherung. Die Treppen sind etwas unsicher, da nicht überall ein Geländer zum Festpacken ist, sondern nur eine Wand, aber für geübte Treppenläufer (damit sind Kleinkinder gemeint) ist es kein Problem. An den Fenstern sind überall Rollos, außer im Wohnzimmer und man kann alles ganz dunkel machen. Es gibt nur spanisches Fernsehen, aber wer braucht schon Fernseh, wenn man im Urlaub ist. Die Einrichtung war sehr geschmackvoll. Der Pool ist da. 50 Meter entfernt und über das Gelände schnell erreicht. Allerdings so weit weg, dass man nichts davon hört. An jeder Treppe ist auch eine Rampe. Also Kinderwagen bzw. Behindertengerecht. Direkt hinter der Terrasse sind drei Tennisplätze. Dort wird abends, wenn es kühler wird, natürlich gespielt und das hört man auch. Uns hat es aber nicht gestört und die schlafenden Kinder auch nicht. Dort gibt es sehr viele Mücken. Daher hängen über jedem Bett Mückennetze, damit man nachts Ruhe hat. An den Fenstern und Terrassen-bzw. Balkontüren sind ebenfalls Mückennetze. An der Terrasse und an der Haustür ist auch so ein elektrisches Mückenlicht. Allerdings schaffen es trotzdem noch genügend Mücken rein. Da helfen aber die Mückenstecker für die Steckdose und draußen die Mückenspiralen. Geparkt wird vor dem Gelände an der Strasse. Es gibt keinen eigenen Parkplatz. Das Gelände mit den Reihenhäusern, die alle gleich aussehen, ist komplett umzäunt und man kommt an verschiedenen Eingängen nur mit einem Chip rein. Die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist ein Spar in El Portil. Den erreicht man mit dem Auto in guten 5 Minuten. Ein großer Supermarkt "Mercadona" ist in Punta Umbria. Ca. 15 Fahrminuten. Dort bekommt man alles, was das Herz begehrt. Wenn wir nochmal in die Region reisen sollten, würden wir dieses Haus jederzeit wieder buchen.

Tranquilo y bonito

La casa está muy bien ubicada en un lugar tranquilo y bonito. No facilitan garaje pero se puede aparcar bien en la calle. El clima allí es estupendo, no se pasa calor. La casa no estaba todo lo limpia que debería cuando llegamos, sobre todo el menaje de la cocina y echamos en falta algunas cosas, pero las pedimos y nos las proporcionaron enseguida. También nos encontramos algunas cosas de la casa a medio romper que notificamos para que pudieran arreglarlas. En general la experiencia ha sido buena y se han disfrutado mucho las vacaciones.

Superb house - high quality and great complex

This house is very well equipped and well looked after. Friendly owner who communicated productively with us. Complex where the house is located is also very smart, with excellent paddle courts (we took a couple of bats we'd bought cheaply on-line and some balls) and a swimming pool which we didn't use. Short walk down to the beach, shops and bars/cafes/restaurants nearby. Locals friendly despite our lack of Spanish. If you're into golf, the course goes just out the back of the complex - not something we care for I admit! We will go again!

Nice house to stay, pool opens May 15

Friendly contact via email with owner Mr Malone finalizing the booking and a also a phone call from Titan properties before arrival. Titan (Antonia) was very helpful during our stay. Sad we didn't read the pool was closed until May 15th. With two very young children a huge disappointment. No alternatives either in surrounding area only a public pool in Cartaya 15 minutes away. Tip EUR 37 for a two week entry! The nearby AC Hotel at the entrance opens June 1st. Sandy beaches enough, all with shower and drinking water. Cleaner beaches / water with less seeweeds etc can be found on the way to Punta Umbria. The beach area close to property is beautifull and safe to swim but water is mixed with sweet water from river mouth and was not very inviting with mud to cross. On the other side of the sand barrier clean water and beach (Atlantic ocean side). Ferry to sand barrier runs in low season only from El Rompido. El Rompido has some nice restaurants and terraces. Caribe II is very good. Beach near Bar / restaurant Cheringueto Costa Recife on way to Punta Umbria is very clean and the owner of bar is very nice and prices are low. It looks shabby but food was cheap and drinks were good. Be aware photo from house at pool area is not the house were you actually stay. At rear of house (fenced garden) are three paddle courts which are open until late. Lots off noise. Master bedroom matrass is 190 cm but in Spain this size is normal. No wifi in the house and Sky Sat tv is recently blocked outside UK. So only Spanish channels during our stay. Lots of DVD and books and games. We had some things which were not OK but Antonia organized several things for us. Would certainly recommend a car.

A hidden gem of a villa!

A most well equipped, well looked after villa catering for in our case 4 adults and 3 young children. The villa is well stocked with all you could need for a home from home including some UK television. The villa is very spacious and has a lovely, private patio / garden area. Situated in gated community means you feel 100% safe during your stay. The complex has a lovely pool and three astro turf tennis courts. Within walking distance there is a nice, quiet beach and just a short drive to the nearest village finds you a range of amenities and restaurants. We also discovered several nice playgrounds for our little ones. There are lots of other towns and villages less than an hours drive and well worth a visit. Our overall stay was very good and we would definitely consider returning and exploring this hidden gem further!

Happy holiday

Arrived early morning very tired only to be met with a lovely house and a welcoming bottle of wine the fridge already cold and the beds made.. The house is very welcoming, pretty and yet functional. The patio on the first floor is a lovely sun trap and thats only one of three...The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful the beach is just a 10 minute stroll away and the 2 pools in the complex are just 2 minutes from the house. If you are looking for night clubs this is not the holiday for you but if you are looking for peaceful family or friend oriented then this is perfect. There are lots of friendly places to eat serving fantastic food at a range of prices. I would recomend hiring a car as this will allow you to explore the wonderful area and lots of recomendations are given by the owners. This holiday was perfect for us 3 adults and a 1 year old child but equally a group of up to 8 people of any age would have a great time..Hope to book again for next year. Would i recommend this?? a big fat yes...

sun,sand & surf superb!

Let’s start with the villa:Perfect! Fantastically appointed you couldn’t want for anything more, right down to supplying you with beach towels, chairs/umbrellas and I mustn’t forget the cool-box, brilliant! All bedrooms are large bright and air conditioned. Ample storage in each of the rooms means you won’t be falling over holiday bags throughout your stay. Bathrooms are well appointed the fact you have two full size bathrooms (bath, shower, toilet) as well as another separate toilet on the ground floor is great. The kitchen is complete with washing machine/oven /micro/toaster/coffee percolator all cutlery/plates/cups/glasses etc. The lounge/dinning is a great size and plenty large enough for good sized gatherings(Tv/dvd/books/games etc) Outdoors (rear patio area) is of good size, as well as being nice and private it gets the best of the sunshine through the day. You have a big table and plenty of chairs; sit back and watch the sunset with a local vino, what a way to finish a hard day on the beach. Around this gated community (very secure) you will find manicured grounds that accommodate a large pool and a smaller toddler pool (life-guard on duty) lots of trees gives you a good option when you have worshipped the sun for long enough. You will also find 4 tennis courts available just off the rear patio area. The gardens within the complex are immaculate and if you are a keen golfer then it doesn’t get much closer as you have an 18 hole course on your door step and a very nice bar/restaurant for that well deserved finish to the game. The little group of shops are selling local fresh produce it’s all absolutely delicious, 2kg of the best strawberries I have had in my life for €2.50 you can’t go wrong! A quick note on the beaches, there is not a bad beach amongst them, white sand, crystal clear water (and warm) very safe for the young to the young at heart, we visited many and loved them all. Out-door sports, take your pick. Sailing, snorkeling, diving, fishing, water skiing, swimming, windsurfing, golf, tennis, bike riding (great paths along the beaches) Summary: If you are worried about keeping your family busy then don’t; there is something for everyone within short distances. Our family of five from the old to the new were at the villa for 11 days, not one day was spent thinking what can we do now; we were up and out exploring what I truly believe is a very well kept secret.ssshhhhh. We will return!

Everything you would wish for!

We had a fantastic holiday while staying here in March. The house has all the facilities you could wish for, and many extras the owner has kindly provided like the games consoles (x box, nintendo 64, playstation 2), DVD's, and books. The decor is modern and homely, clean and well maintained. We cooked in the well equiped kitchen and ate on the ground floor patio, which is planted with pretty flowers. The house is within a very nice, well looked after and secure complex and has a great view of the 14th hole, gardens, tennis courts and pine trees beyond. We enjoyed the walk along the beach and through the pines to El Rompido and the Orange Grove for a few beers. Matt was a great host in The Orange Grove, where we played pool and drank beer and coffee and had a laugh before he drove us home. Had fun trying to understand Spanish tapas menus, as we knew no Spanish and could have done with a dictionary but the locals are friendly and happy to help. We recommend you eat in the cafes where the locals go and ejoy the local ham, fried peppers and onions, calamari (chocos fritos!), cheese, olives, it is all yummy. Good shops in Huelva and Seville is lovely, especially the historic Santa Cruz area, but don't bother with the bus tour, as its rubbish! We have recommend this property to friends and relatives and hope to visit again in the future, as we had such a happy holiday. Zoe, Stuart, Rachel and Chris 28/4/10

Perfect last minute get away....

we had an excellent stay at this place. Extremely easy to access from the airport, we drove and were there shortly after touching down in Spain. plenty to do.... I went with seven girl friends for a much needed break. The house was in fantastic condition, beautifully furnished, and felt like a home. We all had ample room with plenty of outside, and inside space. It was complete with everything we needed...the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed just a simple stroll to the beach..the local bars and restaurants are really close,and we loved the local night life(recommend Scorpion Bar!!)... but not too close to disturb us...a free local bus (from the orange grove bar)did us a treat. The bonus of being close to both Portugal yet in Spain, was perfect to take advantage of...since we managed a day trip to the Portugese Algarve too! will come back soon.!!!

fabulous place, lovely decor, enjoyed our stay

Impressed with the quality of the house - recently kitted out with great furniture etc. We made lots of use of the outdoor seating - the weather was great all day and night. Lovely site with nearby pool - although we didn't try out the spanish tennis game! Very close to the beach and walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. A large market nearby on Sunday. Very friendly locals and inexpensive food/drink. Good area - if you have a car, plenty nearby to sight-see.

Great apartment. Very pleasant stay June 09.

Enjoyed an excellent break in this very well appointed and modern holiday apartment in Nuevo Portil in June 09. Very spacious and tastefully furnished dining and living room area with terrace. Three bedrooms of which two have their own terrace areas with views over adjacent golf course and woodland. Well maintained swimming pool available in the centre of the apartment complex. Close proximity to sea (c. 10 minute walk). Enjoyed the beautiful long beach which has dunes at the eastern end. Great for swimming and water sports. Bars and restaurants available within walking distance in Nuevo Portil town. Would recommend the Bar Restaurante As De Oro in Nuevo Portil (you can find it on Calle Camaleon towards the eastern side of the town). Extremely friendly and generous owner (Antonio). Town has an authentic spanish feel to it. Easy access via road from Seville – would definitely recommend spending a day in Seville itself. Nearby Huelva very interesting too – Columbus sailed from here – visited an interesting museum about him where you can go on replicas of his ships. Very successful and relaxing holiday.
