The owner was very helpful and the house met the country theme; however, the wall and floors were not level or stable in certain areas.

Super convenient location. Cozily decorated. You might want to look elsewhere if you’re tall; the ceilings are low. All-in-all, it was a private, affordable option.

Cute Cottage

This is a small, cute cottage. It feels like home away from home. Decor is pretty, beds are comfortable, and location is quiet. Only criticism would be: there is no heat and one morning was a little chilly to a native FL gal.

It worked for us

Could use a deep clean but overall was good. Has an awesome size back yard. Would be great if it had a screen room for evenings when it cools down. Overall great location. Quick walk to Walmart and any number of restaurants. This was a last minute booking and worked well for us. Would book again

Subpar Experience

A/C would barely cool property. Daily temperature mid 90's. Poor sealing around window a/c's. Electrical code not followed at property. Multiple outlets are sketchy at best. Water main break in Winter Haven while we were there which caused boil water notice. Other than that, we enjoyed Sun n Fun in Lakeland.

Thank you so much for your review. The electrical was upgraded in the house and fully inspected by TECO. All AC units were also checked and serviced. Not sure what could have been done about the boiling water notice as that was issued by the City of Winter Haven and affected many businesses and residents. That advisory was not specific to our home. Your feedback is great and appreciated.

Unsatisfactory

House in poor condition. Uneven floors, No Central heat, Uncomfortable Furniture. Very Unhappy with house. Only stayed one night & moved out!!

Thank you Paul for your review. We were not aware that you only stayed one night as security indicated that you were there your entire stay. Additionally, we did not any additional communication outside of the issue that you had with understanding how to use the keyless entry. It is always our desire to address any issues immediately. Our current guests are third time renters and could not wait until the house was available so they could rebook. We will investigate and address any issues that you have communicated. Thank you again for booking with us.

Perfect Perfect for the Price

1. Nina is 100% responsive, answers everything immediately. Very respectful and kind. Let us check in early no charge which was very sweet.2. I felt that prior negative reviews were somewhat unfair. The house is older, small, but exactly as promised. It's as clean as it can be for being older but the price is reduced compared to other places (from what I researched) because of it so I felt it was extremely fair. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel comfort... not really your place but it is comfortable and served our needs which was to work remotely, eat in to save money, watch our daughter in a softball tournament, and have a smart TV.3. Wonderful: Three smart TVs, plugs/chargers everywhere, Wifi good, Washer/Dryer a huge plus, clean and good water pressure shower, big clean appliances, air/heat (not central but fine, the place is small!), enormous yard, and overall had what was basic and necessary. Please note that my husband is 6'5" and had to duck sometimes to avoid the light fixtures. 4. Could be better/not complaining, just feedback: Needs dishwasher (it's nice to know items have been sanitized) and just a few more kitchen items and with that big yard, a little BBQ would be nice. 5. In a very commercial area so everything was so convenient! Walmart walking distance for groceries, food places walking distance, very easy!!! The disadvantage is that it is not "a quiet neighborhood" but we didn't care about that. Very satisfied! Thanks Nina!

This guest did not stay with us. They mistook installation that had fallen from the ceiling as something else. They were not eligible for a refund however, We did all that we could to get them a full refund, which they received. It was our understanding there would be no reviews from this guest since they did not stay however, it would be our thought that a host that provided a 100% refund to a guest that was not eligible would receive a 5 star rating for spending the 3 days it took to get them the refund. Since this booking we have had other completely satisfied guests with extended visits and the house is booked at the time of this post with guests who have extended 3 times.
