This delightful retreat features two cozy bedrooms, each equipped with queen beds, two bathrooms, and an additional living space with a queen bed pullout. The gas fireplace and bistro patio create the perfect setting for a relaxing evening with a glass of wine, no matter the time of year. With easy access to local entertainment, Academy House allows you to immerse yourself in the ambiance of Colorado Springs. Outstanding location-literally minutes to tons of restaurants and shopping. 15 min to Air Force academy and close to Garden of Gods and Seven Falls attractions. House has everything including AC which you need in summer and is so clean. However the biggest perk is the owner. Truly one of the nicest people we have ever met-goes out of his way to make your stay perfect!! Highly recommend!!

Easy parking, great check in, fantastic management communication. During stay blender decided not to operate. Sent message to management team and within very short time received a note asking if they could drop off a replacement in 10 minutes. This was an extended 3 week stay and there was just nothing missing anywhere!!! Very fast WiFi. Location is very good. Recommend for short and extended stays

The Academy House was comfortable for our family of four. Close to the grocery store which was great with the full kitchen. Not far from many of the attractions in the area. We were all cozy and comfortable during our week long stay.

The his was one of the most comfortable and well-equipped VRBOs we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. It was well-stocked, super clean and the host, Ken, went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed and to answer any questions we had. We will definitely try to stay again next time we are in COS for several days or longer.

We had a wonderful stay at the Academy House over Labor Day weekend! The property was excellent with all of the amenities we needed. There was a bowl of chocolate on the coffee table which was an added bonus! :) We would definitely stay here again!

The house was just the right size for our family. The host communicated very well with us. We would definitely stay here again and hope to in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Colorado Springs! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed—from heater or ac option to amazing decor! The location was peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The owners were incredibly responsive and made sure we were taken care of throughout our stay. Highly recommend and would love to come back!

This is such a very nice VRBO home….nice quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds, lovely kitchen, Air Force decor, squeaky clean, and we had the use of the garage. We could only stay 3 nights this time but would love to stay again if we get to return.

Beautiful and well kept property. Wonderful host who was very kind. Includes a cute backyard to hang out in and a grill we were able to use. My husband made delicious steaks on it.

Host Ken Rivera is a native of Colorado Springs, and his spouse has lived in many locations with the military. We enjoy the outdoors of Colorado in all the ways you could imagine, including building quinze huts for winter camping. We are getting more into golf as we age, ha! We raised two children in Colorado Springs: a businesswoman and her child, a Space Force Major, and a USAF Academy grad.

The 80917 Neighborhood is a vibrant area characterized by charming streets lined with trees and colorful buildings. One of the most enjoyable aspects of this neighborhood is its sense of community; locals often gather at parks, coffee shops, and markets, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

The neighborhood offers a delightful mix of cultural experiences, from art galleries showcasing local artists to cozy restaurants serving diverse cuisines. Walking through the area, you can often hear live music while walking to shopping or dining nearby. Our favorite is the organic grocery store five minutes away by car.

Additionally, there are plenty of green spaces where families can picnic, bike, play sports, and let their children run around. The friendly faces of the residents, the rich cultural offerings, and the overall vibrant energy make the 80917 Neighborhood a truly enjoyable place to explore and relax.

Nearby, enjoy the Krispie Creme, Texas Roadhouse, On The Border, Red Robin, Longhorn Steakhouse, Costco, and Safeway.

Two features attract many Academy House guests: the garage, which provides a safe entrance and serves as a mudroom and storage for bikes and outdoor "toys." Academy House, often complimented about its cleanliness due to the no-pet policy, offers healthy rest for the weary. While these two features are big draws, there are others.

The neighborhood is tranquil even though leading thoroughfares are close by. Academy House offers a bistro patio, gas and charcoal grills, a backyard for games, security bars and cameras, two bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms, queen size pullouts, a full kitchen with cookware and dishes, gas fireplace, washer and dryer, standard-car garage for two cars, off street parking for additional vehicles, short proximity to groceries, dining, military bases/posts. Board games and cornhole (bags) are on hand for a bit of recreation, and we like to provide a meal basket, including a bottle of wine, as our welcome to you.
