Calicozy is a designer mountain home located in The Meadows neighborhood of Blue Ridge Mountain Club. This upscale retreat offers inviting indoor and outdoor living spaces, beautiful mountain surroundings, and access to exceptional community amenities.
Blue Ridge Mountain Club is a private mountain community set on more than 6,000 acres, with hiking trails, scenic overlooks, UTV/ATV adventures, fishing streams, wildlife viewing, and peaceful outdoor spaces.
Guests can also enjoy The Meadows Pool & Pavilion, Watson Gap Park & Pavilion, pickleball courts, lawn games, seasonal dining at Trailside Eats, and mountain-view dining at Lookout Grill.
Ascent Wellness & Fitness offers fitness equipment, group classes, yoga, recovery amenities, spa services, and relaxing lounge areas. Chetola Sporting Reserve provides classic High Country outdoor sporting experiences within the community.
Inside Calicozy, the main level features a comfortable living room with a stacked-stone gas-log fireplace, big-screen TV, and a wall of windows that brings in natural light. The living room opens to a spacious deck with a gas grill, outdoor dining and lounging areas, and a covered outdoor living space with a second stone fireplace and TV. For entertainment, the garage game room includes a ping-pong table.

Upstairs, three sleeping areas include a king primary bedroom with a Juliette balcony, a king guest bedroom, and a bunk room for children. Each sleeping area has its own ensuite bathroom.

Loved our stay at Calicozy! The house is well furnished and the kitchen has all of the necessities. We enjoyed the covered porch and used the grill. Bedrooms are spacious with nice bathrooms. It’s great to be down the street from the pool and pickleball courts. The only downside of the location is it takes 15 minutes to get to the main gate which takes you out to Boone or Blowing Rock.

We would not recommend this property despite the home being as pictured and decorated nicely. Check in was delayed by auto lock on front door battery being low. Staff responded quickly but this was still a negative upon arrival. Outdoor deck was very dirty and unusable due to dust, pollen, dirt, spider webs and lots of bird droppings. After reporting this, outdoor deck remained unusable as it was only partially cleaned by maintenance staff. Garage game room was also very dirty and ping pong table unusable due to incorrect or dead types of balls. Kitchen cooking utensils and pans were extremely sub standard for a VRBO rental in this price range. Dishwasher pods (just 2 for a three night, four day stay), paper towels (just one partial roll), and toilet paper supplies (no back-ups beside what was on the roller in each restroom) were all disappointing and not what most rentals would provide at check in. And multiple emails to ownership asking if we could use mountain club facilities (restaurant, gym, etc.) were never answered. Lastly, TV's in main room and bedrooms came with no instructions and were not easy or intuitive to use. Final note....this property is very far back into the community so know that your travel time to Boone is 20 minutes farther than estimates might show from the front gate.
