The Hippie Pad was inspired and designed for relaxing comfort that transports you to the flower child era for free-spirited fun. Your ground-level suite includes a well-equipped kitchenette/dining, queen bed with an electric fireplace - perfect for snuggling up. Smart TV hangs over the throwback stereo phonograph, wifi connection available, parking on site. While designed for couples, extra sleeping is available on the sleeper sofa. Spin some vinyl for a dance or two, strum a love ballad on the guitar, or challenge each other to a game in this cozy throw back inspired suite! Your get-away is across the street from The Martha Washington Hotel and Spa and Love Sign Park, site of The Virginia Highlands Festival. Private entrance on Plumb Alley where Plumb Alley Days is held. Two doors from the off-Broadway, professional theater, The Barter. Walk to great shopping, historic sites, restaurants, parks, and only 2 blocks from the head of the Creeper Trail! You will have access to on site parking, coded entry and your entire suite. Laundry services can be requested for an additional charge. Let us know if you want special flowers, music, food, treats, or reservations to demonstrate to your significant other how you have thought of everything! Convenient parking for your car, bike, or motorcycle right outside your door and keypad entry into your private apartment. The Barter Green Room, a separate suite next door, is available for couples or families traveling together. Available by text or phone during your stay. This is a lovely place to stay, perfectly sized for two. Creatively decorated to remind one of the '60s, hence the name Hippie Pad, replete with a record player, Lava Lamp and other '60s memorabilia. Simply but nicely equipped. Brightly lit living kitchen and bath areas, several chairs and couches for comfortable lounging. We would love to stay here again!Abingdon is a friendly town with many great eateries, the wonderful Barter Theatre, lovely shops, and scenery and outdoor activities that make you want to come back.
