Summary:
Kabella is a tastefully Don Jacobs designed 2 bedroom/2 bathroom vacation home.

The Space:
The home features gorgeous ocean and ridge views, new furniture and deck, a new private chlorine free hot tub, and a prime location. Visitors will be conveniently located close to both Shell Beach and Stengel Beach. This spacious vacation rental can comfortably house up to 4 guests and your furry friend - tha's right, Kabella is pet friendly! Guests will have access to 2 outdoor parking spaces to ensure room for your vehicles.

A private landscaped garden courtyard leads up to the glass door entrance. Upon entering, take in the impressive features of the great room: floor to ceiling windows showcasing the blue ocean views, open beam ceilings, and a standup tile hearth with wood stove.

The living room has plush furnishings, window seating, and a new Smart TV. WIFI is provided for family entertainment. Right around the corner is a full guest bathroom for everyone to share.

The expansive kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and a built-in breakfast island. You will love the opportunity to prepare tasty treats and delicious meals in here. With 3 seats by the breakfast bar keep the chef company! The dining table with seating for 6, just steps away. The table is placed in front of the tall windows allowing you to dine with the ocean as your backdrop.

Step outside and fire up the BBQ. The new Ozone friendly spa (no chlorine) is the perfect place to unwind while you watch a golden sunset disappear behind the horizon. After a dip, a washer and dryer are equipped inside for any swimsuits.

Down the hall are two bedrooms. The master bedroom is furnished with a luxurious King-size bed and has an attached master bathroom. The master bathroom has a standalone shower. The guest bedroom holds a Queen-size bed. This bedroom has access to the shared full bathroom near the living room.

The Sea Ranch is a planned community with over 3000 acres featuring: The Historic Sea Ranch Chapel, The Sea Ranch lodge (restaurant and shopping), a 50-mile trail system with 6 public beach access points, dog park, and 3 recreation centers with outdoor pools, locker rooms, half-basketball court, and tennis courts (amenities vary with each center) for guest use. RV's, trailers, or mobile homes are strictly not allowed.

Please note that this home can accommodate up to 2 Dogs, with an additional of $150 per stay.

Please note: If you are bringing a pet - the pet fee is not included in this total price. An additional pet fee of $150 will be applied after booking is complete. A maximum of 2 pets can be brought to the unit. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us. To avoid fines please make sure your pet is on a leash and you pick up after your pet.

This home will be stocked with a starter set of consumables such as soaps and paper products. Guests are advised to either bring or purchase additional after arrival.

House well furnished and supplied. Management responsive. Water heater broken so no hot water. Not time enough for it to be fixed, so management gave us a fair refund.

Good place -- great location

We stay often in Sea Ranch, and I would call this place "pretty good". It was definitely clean and in a great location. The fireplace and hot tub were both great. Rental was easy, etc... All good. A few SMALL honest criticisms for the seasoned sea ranch renter: Didn't love that the bedrooms and baths were very bunched up at one end of the house (not much privacy from each other). Lack of a gas grill and patio furniture was a bit of a downer. The biggest complaint was the very minimal stocking of the place. When we pay 100's in fees it would be nice to have more than the absolute minimum kitchen supplies, bath supplies, no charcoal, no lighter fluid, very few spices.... etc. I know it's not up to the owner to provide everything needed, but compared to other rentals over the last 20 years, this is one where I felt a little extra consideration would have gone a long way toward swallowing all of the fees. Don't hesitate to rent the place, just know to bring absolutely everything other than firewood and paper towels.

Beautiful home with great ocean view!

This house is in a fantastic location, with the kitchen/living room and hot tub looking out to the ocean. The house was clean and had everything we need. The walk to the beach from the house was further than anticipated. Unfortunately, the beach was closed for preservation during our stay which was a big reason why we booked this home. Otherwise, this house and our stay in it was wonderful.

Fabulous week by the sea

We had a wonderful stay at the Kabella house. We had great weather, good food, and family time together. Kitchen is well stocked and the widow seats were coveted by everyone for reading and naps. Great place for 4 people.

Nice wood interior. Kitchen well stocked. Great window seat. Fun to watch deer in meadow. Close to beach trail. Pretty entry garden. Master bed too soft - partner had to sleep on couch& bed pillows need replacing.

Wonderful Home

This is a beautiful home, clean, well located, well appointed, and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and I hope to try to stay again. I have been coming to Sea Ranch to visit my father for years and this is to date our best rental. The furniture is in great condition, the owner clearly cares for this property lovingly. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we could have needed. Definitely recommend.

Peaceful and serene

I bet much enjoyed my stay at this rental. It was a short walk to the water, and you can see the ocean from the deck. The layout was great.

Check in was difficult, with office location almost impossible to locate after hours.

The house had gnats and flies in the kitchen and dining room, which we noted upon check in. We checked in Wednesday evening and someone came to look at the issue Saturday. Her solution, for us to hang fly traps and gnat catchers in the kitchen. Disgusting house!!!! Shame on VRBO!

Great place, except….

The property and our stay overall was good to great. A few problems/complaints: 1. The fact that we could not pick up the rental packet/keys a few minutes before the witching hour of 4:00 PM is ridiculous and inconvenient. We were at the rental office at 3:45, finding a locked door, no human, an empty key pickup box, and a sign requiring us to return at 4:00 or later. 2. On the other end (checkout) we were forced to drive back into Gualala to drop off the keys- the opposite direction we needed to go as we left the area. We should have been allowed to leave the keys in the unit upon departure. 3. There was no gas barbecue in the unit. We would have been ok with the Weber which was present, but there was no charcoal or lighter! 4. There was plenty of good, dry firewood, but the provided kindling was too large to be useful, and was wet. 5. After complaining about items 3&4 above to the provided 800- rental help number, we eventually (after 20-30 minute wait) got a text from someone, presumably local support, stating that wood was not to be burned in the barbecue (DUH!) and that charcoal and lighter were available for (OUR) purchase in Gualala, necessitating ANOTHER trip to town (after picking up the keys). We also purchased dry kindling on that trip. Overall, nice unit, great location, great kitchen, spa, et al. It’s rather pathetic however that charcoal, lighter, and dry kindling are apparently “extras”, and the rigid inflexible checkin/checkout times are petty and nit-picking.

Wonderful stay!

A great place for a getaway. A different beach every day! Dogs were deliriously happy seeing and smelling new stuff on the beach. We were very happy with Kabella, comfy, well-stocked. I would say superficially very clean as long as you didn’t look into the cupboards or corners. Cleaners could use a little supervision. Having said that, we realize staffing is critically short everywhere these days so somewhat understandable. Gualala provided adequate supplies (2 good food stores) but restaurants were limited. We would come back for the beauty of the coast, the beaches (and dog park in Sea Ranch) if it were not so arduous a drive for those of us traveling from out of state to get there. Still, we loved the house!

Right size, easy to get around, comfortable furnishings, well-stocked kitchen. Furniture in good condition. However, no written instructions on how to use the TV as there are 4 remotes and unfamiliar software. Linens could have been newer.

House was delightful but vrbo customer service didn't know what they were talking about.

After checking in on a Saturday, we found that the TV/DVD player did not work. We called the vrbo 800 customer service line and were told we didn't get TV with this house. Really? Then why the large screen TV in the living room? This was after contacting them before our visit to find out that there were supposedly no dinnerware, glasses, etc. Bring your own. Another lie since the house is fully stocked. It took until Monday afternoon to get the owner involved on the TV issue and set up a call with Dish TV. That was all due to the local company's assistance, not vrbo. So why are we paying a fee to vrbo? They really need to get better informed reps. Do they know where Sea Ranch even is? Other than that, the house is lovely and well stocked and we really enjoyed staying there. All kudos go to the local rental company because they were fantastic.
