Welcome to The Linden House, an updated 1920s home where historic charm meets modern simplicity. Tucked into Kansas City’s West Plaza neighborhood, this light-filled retreat features Scandinavian-inspired design, two bedrooms, and thoughtfully curated details throughout. The open loft-style upstairs suite gives the home a distinctive, airy feel, while warm textures and soft neutrals create an inviting sense of calm. Just minutes from the Country Club Plaza, local cafés, and tree-lined parks, The Linden House offers a serene and stylish base for your Kansas City stay.
Your Property
Gather in the minimalist dining space beside the kitchen — a blend of soft wood tones, clean lines, and a striking modern-industrial light fixture. Seating for four invites slow breakfasts or dinners that stretch into conversation. Even the staircase nearby feels intentional, maintaining the home’s open flow and gentle sense of calm.
Bedrooms & Baths
The Linden House’s upper-level suite spans the entire second floor — an airy, open retreat tucked beneath the gabled roofline. This space features a king bed, a private bath with a step-in shower, and a cozy sitting area. Please note: the upper-level suite is open to the stairway and does not have a door, giving it a loft-like feel.
On the main floor, a second bedroom with a queen bed is simply and elegantly furnished, located next to the main bath with a classic shower/tub combination. Every detail balances the home’s 1920s character with thoughtful updates and modern comfort.
Outdoor Amenities
Enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine from one of the wicker chairs on the front porch patio. Perched slightly above the street, The Linden House offers a sense of privacy while still feeling connected to the charming, tree-lined West Plaza neighborhood.
Guest Access
Guests can access the property using a keypad smart lock. Please be sure the door is fully pulled shut and allow the lock to finish unlocking before opening. If the mechanism resists or feels jammed, simply close the door completely and try again. Entry is smooth when the door is properly aligned.
Other Things to Note
The Linden House is an updated 1920s home with original character and modern touches. Access to the home is via a flight of exterior stairs, and an additional staircase inside leads to the open upper-level suite. Because of the layout and the open stairway, this home may not be suitable for young children or guests with mobility limitations.
Street parking is available. Out of respect for our neighbors, we kindly ask that guests limit vehicles to 2.

No smoking or vaping inside the home.
Only registered guests are permitted on the property.
Check-in begins at 4 p.m. and check-out is by 10 a.m. Early check-in or late checkout may be available with prior approval.
Please limit vehicles to two and be considerate when parking along the street.
Safety Notes
The Linden House was built in the 1920s and retains its original charm. Please take care on the stairs and note that the upper-level suite is open to the stairway and does not have a door.
Entry to the home requires climbing an exterior flight of stairs, and a second staircase leads to the upper-level bedroom.
This home may not be suitable for young children or guests with mobility limitations.
For your safety and the protection of the property, there is a video doorbell by the front door and a Ring floodlight camera above the back door. These devices monitor only the exterior and are not used to observe guest interiors or private spaces.
Please ensure the front door is fully closed when entering or exiting so the smart lock functions properly.
Smart Lock Instructions
To enter, enter your access code on the smart lock, then press the check mark to confirm. Allow the lock to fully complete the unlocking cycle before opening the door — pulling early may cause the mechanism to jam. If it does jam, simply pull the door completely closed and try again, waiting for the lock to finish unlocking before turning the handle.

The West Plaza neighborhood offers the perfect blend of quiet charm and walkable convenience. I was drawn to its tree-lined streets, historic homes, and friendly, lived-in feel — it’s a pocket of calm just minutes from the energy of the Country Club Plaza.
You can stroll to local cafés, boutiques, and restaurants, or take a short drive to explore museums, parks, and Kansas City’s best dining. It’s close to everything, yet peaceful enough to unwind at the end of the day — a combination that felt just right for The Linden House.
この宿泊施設の特徴
The Linden House is an updated 1920s home that blends historic charm with a calm, modern aesthetic. Each space was designed with intention — from the soft, Scandinavian-inspired palette to the thoughtful flow between rooms.
The open upper-level suite, with its loft-like feel beneath the gabled roofline, gives the home a distinctive character you won’t find in new construction. Light filters through the windows throughout the day, highlighting textures of wood, linen, and stone.
It’s a home that feels collected rather than styled — quiet, refined, and made for guests who appreciate simplicity done well.
