Water Front View

Very comfortable, nautical theme. Has everything you need for a very comfortable and unique vacation. Nuce view while you eat and an absolutely lovely den to take a book and curl up with a book. The 2 masters have a beautiful view if the river. Will definately be returning.

Perfect East Coast Cottage

Family of 6 stayed for the week. Perfect location- close to Boston, Newport, Providence and the Martha’s Vineyard Ferry. Cottage had everything you need to be comfortable both inside and out. Spectacular views from all rooms. Outdoor deck and pier provided for great sunsets, kayaking, swimming and family gathering. 5 stars!!!

Great place to stay

We stayed here for our son's wedding and this property is fantastic! The owner left us food and drinks, the views are gorgeous, we kayaked from the dock, enjoyed the sunsets, and the location was ideal. The cottage had everything we needed and more!

Hardly ever left!

Loved all the attention to detail. Beautiful, warm and welcoming. Would suggest putting ceiling fans in bedrooms and sunroom. Great response to any issues that occurred.

A very special place...

No detail was left unattended! We wanted to find a home that would give us a beautiful and inspirational change of scenery from our current work from home life... This was the place!!! We felt pampered with all of the “extra” touches, and enjoyed the beautiful outdoor space and water view everyday! We look forward to coming back in the future!!

Fabulous!!

This house was a dream come true! We loved being on the water, swimming off the dock, and all of the lovely food treats!! I highly recommend this home for family vacations.

Perfect in every way!

We arrived and were so delighted to find such a beautifully decorated, well equipped house on the river. Sunshine runs through the entire house. Sharon treated us to beautiful treats and flowers in every room. It was the perfect house for us to stay while enjoying a weekend of wedding festivities. Definitely will return!

Beautiful Place to Stay

This property is a wonderful spot to spend a vacation! Located on a quiet little dead end street, right on the edge of the water, this is a fantastic location with lots of space and fun activities for all. There was plenty of flexible parking as well. Every detail is covered. We were delighted by the extra touches that were not expected but so lovely to have provided for us. For example, there was high quality coffee and cream waiting for us in the kitchen. Beautiful fresh flower arrangements all around. It is the small touches and simple things that can make such a big difference. The house itself is fantastic. It is wonderfully decorated and super comfortable from the living areas to the bedrooms. There were kayaks and fishing poles for everyone to enjoy and S'more makings provided which delighted all. Truly a lovely experience from beginning to end.

Amazing getaway!

My friends and I had a wonderful time at the Dockside Cottage. Location was perfect, the house was cozy and well appointed, and the views were incredible. I cannot say enough good things about the Moore family's hospitality. From the kayaks, to the pumpkins decorating the front of the house, to the "happy hour" set up when we arrived, so many lovely touches all over the house. Too many to list but all so appreciated. A few weeks prior to arriving, Sharon sent some great lists of things to do in the area, and things to add to your trip. She and I arranged a Chef's night, a private chef came in and made dinner, for my husband and friends. If you get the chance, DO IT! So fun. Sharon and CJ came in and set up a dreamy tablescape full of flowers and drippy candles and Chef Neil wowed with his creations. There was lots of wine, music and laughs. It will be a night we remember for years to come. I can't wait to go back!

Charming Home - Great Location

Our group of five close friends had a wonderful stay at "The Dockside". Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely table of goodies and the stocked refrigerator. We all enjoyed the unique and clever decor of the cottage and use of the piano! The location was near to many Rhode Island/Cape attractions but allowed for total relaxation when returning home. We would definitely stay at a Moore Property again!

Relaxing and beautiful vacation! The Moore Family truly makes it a perfect stay

The Moore family really does a lovely job making a stay at their properties wonderful. From the welcome foods to the quickness in fixing small issues we had, it was a very nice and relaxing week. The house was great. It came with everything, from games to toiletries to spices etc. It was extremely stocked, I kind of wished it had less clutter in some of the drawers etc. but not a big deal and it was the last week of summer. The dock was amazing and we fished and kayaked every day all day! The tiverton fruit stands are great and we tried one restaurant Plouf Plouf that was very good. Sharon is wonderful and she made the stay fabulous. She was attentive to all our needs. We will definitely be coming back.

Fishing at the Dockside

My family thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at the Dockside. We tried both fishing and kayaking for the first time and loved them both. The home itself was lovely and all of the nautical details were so charming. The location was perfect! We explored Tiverton, the beaches, and took a day trip to Newport. But we most enjoyed just hanging out at the dock. We can't say enough great things about our stay - from the time we booked until the time we checked out Sharon made us feel incredibly welcome. We hope to be back next summer!

Wonderful place to stay!

This is a great place to stay! Everything about the house was perfect and the extra touches left by Sharon made it a memorable stay. She thought of everything to make our trip wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect and close to everything. We have used VRBO extensively in the past and we have never had an experience like this home. Highly recommended!!

The Dockside is amazing- wonderful location on Sakonnet river- incredible decor, family oriented.

Our family— children and Grandchildren could not be more pleased. Easy access and an incredible welcome basket of delicious snacks- a well stocked kitchen w / cookware and spices. Easy access to farm fresh veggies and fresh seafood. Kids enjoyed the huge game selection and caught tons of fresh fish. Delicious restaurants are plentiful. I look forward to returning.

GREAT HOME - Beautiful Venue

What a TERRIFIC place to stay. There was NOTHING the owners didn't think of. We've stayed in a number of homes and condominiums offered through VRBO and NEVER stayed in a location that thought of EVERYTHING!!! there was a cheese, cracker and fruit plate on the tale waiting for us. There were eggs and milk in the refrigeration. There was popcorn and smoors "fixins", Apple TV, AC, a fan and many other "extra's". Kayak's, a terrific dock for fishing and swimming and a bait shop within 100 feet of the front door. There are many GREAT local restaurants within 5 miles of the home and Newport offers so much for every age group. Thank you for all your thoughtfulness and for the opportunity to stay in your home.

Create memories through your stay at the The Dockside

As I sit looking out the sunroom windows of the Moore Dockside Cottage, peering across the Sakonnet river, I have time to reflect on the incredible stay we have experienced. With the sun gently easing it’s way down toward the horizon, the brilliant reds and golds paint the sky. It is such a peaceful feeling, such a relaxing environment - comfortable, and at time mesmerizing watching the river flow by. As I look around the interior of the house, it is beautifully decorated in what I would describe as a New England style decor, which adds to enchantment of our east coast trip (especially being coming from the west coast). But that is exactly what I was hoping for when I found this amazing vacation property. My brief description is that which describes the only that natural beauty and benefits of staying at the Dockside property, the amazing part of your stay will be enhanced by the personalized care that is taken by the Moore family. First in the communication and answering of questions before your stay, as you inquire about or are booking the property. Then their unprecedented willingness to accommodate special requests, if it is within their ability to do so for you. As many have said, the finer touches of sweets, treats, crackers and cheese were an appreciated welcome (especially after flying for 5 hours from the west coast). And as we were here to celebrate my son’s graduation from Brown Med, the graduation and celebration decorations were a touch that put things over the top. As part of our celebration, Blair helped us arrange for an in house chef catered dinner. While we were out for the day, she beautifully decorated the dining table with greenery, flowers, place settings, candles and graduation decoration! The Chef from Stoneacre Brasseire, Christopher and Cat, created an amazing multi course meal, which along with our family made for one of the most incredible diner “experiences” ever!!! Needles to say, if you are thinking about renting this fantastic property, you will not be disappointed! Thank you Moore family for helping to create such amazing memories for our family. In our world today, helping to touch other’s lives in a positive, kind and considerate manner, is so needed. I know this rental property is part of your business, but all of your personal touches clearly convey your passion for helping to create an “life experience” rather than just a vacation!

It was lovely- even nicer than pictured.

We were there to celebrate a birthday and the whole family loved the house. We were greeted with a celebratory welcome and beautiful charcuterie spread. There were many other thoughtful special touches. I would happily go back.

LOVED The Dockside!!!

From the moment we opened the front door we knew we would love this home. It's decorated beautifully and the view is absolutely amazing. Waiting for us on the dining room table were so many delicious goodies and on the stove was a warm pot of apple cider. The fridge also had a few wonderful surprises as well as the bedrooms. Our puppy loved his own goodies too that Sharon left for him. We were here in November and we had a couple of very cold windy days and a couple of warmer days. The river was both rough and calm. Did I mention the view?!! I could stare at it for hours. We saw some beautiful sunsets too. Newport was a short drive away for shopping and the surrounding areas were good for exploring. Beautiful home in every aspect! Thank you Sharon and the rest of the Moore family!
