Do NOT book

Do not book this property. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Upon arrival the glass front door was broken and does not open. The owner acknowledged a “prior guest” broke it. We were forced to use the sliding door which does not lock so that’s a safety hazard. The washing machine is very old and does not work. The dryer is covered in rusty scratches. The owner said he would arrange for someone to do our laundry half way through the trip. But during the first night it was raining and the place was leaking everywhere. There was so much water coming in we spent the whole night mopping and wringing out towels. We told the owner we were leaving to find a habitable place to stay and asked for a refund. He agreed and said he would “make it right” but we never heard from him again. He didn’t respond to multiple phone calls or messages. Currently working with VRBO on getting a refund. Total nightmare!!!

Fun and unique property, great location

I booked this property to have a house right across from the beach, plenty of patio/deck space, and a small pool. We had two couples and three 18 yr olds.The pictures of the property are accurate. The beach is literally across the street.The owner is very responsive to messages. We arrived earlier than expected, and he allowed us to get in almost an hour early. On the back end, our flight was delayed, and he granted us a late check out of 5pm. He didn't have to do either, but was very accommodating. The past reviews did mention some leaks. The back alley needs better drainage by the laundry room. The water pooled outside and seeped thru door. Also above the TV in the main family room, there is a spot with water damage that did leak as well, but we threw a bucket under it and caught it all.This was the biggest problem, but we got a LOT of rain. If the weather was better, there wouldn't have been an issue.There is construction going next door as there a new house being built.However, the house is very unique, and tons of space. Everyone had their own room, and all agreed beds were pretty comfortable. There are three levels of patios. The bottom is huge, and the small pool is good for just cooling off. The entire top of the house is accessible, and we enjoyed spending time up there at night. The beach, right across is so easy.Overall, I think 4 is fair, but could have been a 5 without the leaks and a better washing machine.

Stressful and Traumatic Vacation

Family Christmas vacation from Dec 22-28, 2024 with11 people in our group.We encountered many issues and problems with this house.1. First 2 days of our vacation there was a pipe that broke within a wall in the bedroom and flooded 2 bedrooms and closet, hallway, part of the kitchen and foyer. We were Not able to use the bathrooms or bedrooms or enter the house through the front door for an entire day until problem was fixed and cleaners came to clean the water damage.2. Many of the electrical plug points were not working throughout the house.3. The dishwasher was not working, soap was not dispensing into wash.4. The Laundry machine was not working. The spin cycle could not handle a regular load to wring out the water from the clothes or towels. As a result everything was sopping wet.5. 5 single beds - main floor and upstairs were very uncomfortable, mattresses were sinking due to the bed frame not having enough slats to hold up mattresses. were sinking at the top of the bed and on the sides.6. The bathroom fixtures upstairs were all shaky and were not fixed properly.7. The main floor bathroom sink was just dripping water.8. Fire pits outside were not working.9. Construction noise next door from 8am -5:00pm, we were not informed about this.10. Lamp shades in some bedrooms were not working.11. Grill enough only for 2 people.12. Trip switch went off twice could not handle the electrical load.13. Balcony door jammed, could not open to enjoy the views.
