Lindsay was very kind to allow us an early check-in so we could store perishables and head to the beach, which we greatly appreciated. The house itself is cute, well-labeled, and stocked with spices, which shows effort and thoughtfulness. That said, the property was not in the condition we expected for a rental. The freezer had a layer of brown debris with a frozen teether in it, and the fridge drawers were dirty, which I had to clean myself. The futon room was missing both blankets and a pillow, requiring a run to the store. The house had a musty odor (later explained by a roof leak during rain), and despite closet labeling, there were no beach towels available. Shower soap was missing, the towels provided were thin and undersized, and only a roll and a half of toilet paper for 5 people - so another run to the store on the last night. Additionally, there is another rental on the same property that looks directly into the main house, so privacy is limited unless blinds remain closed. While the location is nice and the host accommodating with timing, the condition and missing essentials made this far below the standard of other rentals I’ve stayed in. With upgrades and more thorough preparation, this could be a great property, but as it stands, I would not recommend it.
