Cute Cabin, Great location!

My husband and I visited for our honeymoon from Georgia. The cabin was small and rustic. It was right on the lake and exactly as described. We didn't see any critters in the cabin. Saw plenty in the yard and water. We weren't expecting it to be so cold in early October(our fault), but the owner was prepared with heaters waiting to be used. The cabin is obviously not in constant use. The breakers flipped a couple times after turning on the heat, but never flipped again once everything warmed up. The owner was easy to contact and quickly told us where to find the breaker box. There were no checkout instructions other than leave it the way you found it. We just put all dirty laundry (towels/rags) in a pile and left the 1 bed we used unmade. There is a bin for recycling but doesn't tell you if it's for paper, aluminum, plastic or all 3. There is a gas station and a family dollar right down the road. Everything else (walmart/restaurants) is 20+ mins away. These are not complaints, just information for anyone wondering. We enjoyed our stay and was very comfortable the entire time.

Lake Superior waterfront

a typical rustic cabin on Lake Superior built in the 40s,once it’s heated up it becomes very comfortable, listing shows it as is not for the winter

Cabin on the lake

The cabin is rustic and quaint, just like an old cabin should be. And Kyle was very responsive and helpful whenever we needed anything. And the views are terrific! Great sunsets and views of the Back Bay as well as Superior.

Great Place To Stay!

The cabin was very clean and charming, and the view of the lake was wonderful. There is a nice fire pit with a great view of the lake, and a nice gas grill. WiFi worked well. Overall the stay was quiet and enjoyable. Lots of stuff to do in the area.

Hunting/fishing camp?

First the place was very clean, there were plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels and hand and dish soap provided. The view of the cove was nice(couldn't really see freighters unless you use binoculars). The cabin itself is pretty "primitive ". Maybe more suited for what I would call a hunting camp. Furniture was mostly castoffs, floor uneven, linoleum torn in places. Wiring haphazard. Things to figure out on your own, or reach out to owner. But beds were comfortable. But Michigan is a beautiful state. Everyone was beyond friendly. And we did have a wonderful time.

Very nice area

This is an older cabin & a bit smaller than the pictures lead one to believe. My suggestion is that there should be a sheet that tells your things like: the coffee maker has an on/off switch in the back, location of trash barrel & how to find & turn on the heaters. We enjoyed the veiw and area was quiet.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay in this rustic but very clean lake cottage! We were able to enjoy watching the wildlife and the ships! We were conveniently located to go and do so much! We did a day in Pictured Rocks, the Soo, Mackinaw Island, Tahquamenon Falls State Park, and beach days at Brimley State Park (just 3 min from the house)!

Brinkley cabin

This cabin is exactly as advertised- rustic. Very clean and well stocked. Easy to communicate with owner when a problem arose. The view from the dock is beautiful. Very quiet area -relaxing 5 days were spent here. The neighbors were great and helpful. Good places to eat in the area and beautiful scenery to explore.

Rustic in Brimley

The cabin is great! Log cabin on a cove on lake Superior. Close to grocery store and sandy or rocky beach, which ever you prefer. We loved it!

Rustic cabin on the shore of Lake Superior

The cabin was a comfortable place to stay and operate from. Everything was well cleaned and properly maintained. The location on the shore was wonderful for the views, the spectacular sunsets, and the stars at night. As I noted, the cabin is rustic and is not the lap of luxury. But it is more than adequate for a getaway. I would suggest that the cleaners remove all food products from the refrigerator following each rental. We expected a clean, empty refrigerator when we arrived which is not what we found.

Cozy home away from home

This is such a sweet cabin! Loved the big windows to give us a view of the bay and Canada. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with spices and seasonings. Bathroom was clean and we had plenty of towels. We had a fantastic time every night by the fire watching the sun set. We will definately stay again! Thanks Kyle!

Nice getaway

We love the quiet lakeside location of this cozy cottage. While the floors are a little uneven, making it a bit of a challenge for our senior dog to walk around, this property has everything we need for a nice getaway. We’ll be back!

Great get-away!

After arriving to our cabin, we were impressed by the cleanliness of our weekend home and settled in with all the amenities we needed. The view of the freighters going in and out was a delight. A bon-fire all weekend was a must and there was plenty of wood for our stay. Overall, it was a very nice visit to the UP!

Beautiful view

My husband and I stayed at the cabin with our two dogs. The cabin looked just as it does in the picture, no surprises, which is great! It was well stocked, had everything we needed and because the weather was getting chilly, it warmed up quite nicely so we could spend cozy evenings indoors. There were plenty of blankets, and the bed was comfortable. The location of the cabin is great. It is right on the water with a beautiful view of the lake that we enjoyed every morning over coffee and breakfast. The cabin is situated off the main road and while there are other homes around, it feels nice and secluded. It is in a good location between Sault Ste. Marie and Whitefish Bay, Tahqumenon Falls. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Cozy Rustic Cabin

Must amazing view of Lake Superior. Great location. Casino is only a couple of miles, walking trails to the beach and light houses. Cabin has everything you need. Dog friendly. Would stay here again. We had amazing time. The owner even mail our coats back to us that we forgot got. Thank you so much!

Relaxing U.P. Vacation

We really enjoyed this cute, rustic cabin. Lake view was beautiful. Location was perfect for the sightseeing we wanted to do. Keurig and WiFi were nice extras. Cabin was well stocked with kitchen and bathroom basics.

Best family vacation!

This cabin was everything we hoped and more. Me, my hubby, 2 teenagers and 2 dogs all stayed comfortably in this cabin. The number one thing that makes me miserable at older cabins/cottages is dank bathrooms—so I was THRILLED when we found the bathroom to be clean and DRY. The kitchen is well stocked with all the pots/pans, plates/glasses and utensils you could need. The beds were also better than we expected. Again, in older cabins these can be less than comfy, Kyle’s beds and bedding were top notch. We always bring our own pillows because we are fussy ☺️. The TV has Roku, we brought our Roku and synced it so we could watch our channels when we opted for TV. We spent much time out at the campfire ring, wow, the views on the bay are something to be seen. We enjoyed seeing the barges float by. One day there was fog on the bay so we heard the fog horns, that was cool 😎. The neighbors by the cabin are so friendly and helpful! We are not super social so sometimes this can be a concern for us. We were told of beaches to take the dogs and insider info on the area. We kayaked on the bay and up the river (our son’s favorite experience). We hiked Mission Hill, went to Whitefish Point and met the survivor of the Bradley sinking, went to the Soo Locks, crossed the International Bridge to experience Canada, zip-lined, biked around Mackinac Island. We did a lot and yet spent a lot of downtime at the cabin “home base”. The bakery in town is real good and the girls at the counter are so sweet. The laundromat in town is bad, take the 20 minute drive to Sault Ste. Marie and all is good. We would definitely stay at this cabin again. Thank you Kyle for sharing your cabin with us!

Rustic Relaxing Get-Away

This is a good place to be to sit back and relax and watch the water. The fire pit was very nice and the chairs provided were very comfortable. Despite the rain and cold weather we had, we enjoyed visiting the nearby lighthouse. There were good eating spots just down the road.

This property is situated on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, Lake Superior. The views are amazing and one can really feel at peace when standing on this property. There are many activities to partake in and just to take in all the surroundings is quite incredible.
