The Wheelhouseは、以前はテレビのパーソ���リティであるHuell Howserが所有していた芸術的な砂漠の隠れ家です。 カリフォルニアの砂漠の奥深くに広がる21世紀の近代建築の珍しい例である、2,221平方フィートの牧場は、ジョシュアツリー国立公園の両方の入り口近くにある12エーカーの手付かずの砂漠にあります。 360度の山と砂漠の景色を眺めることができます。

This is a great property, very custom furnishings, decorations and landscaping, with a boutique hotel vibe. Great views, especially the sunrises. Well located to the two northerly entrances to Joshua Tree NP. Groceries very close as well.When I couldn't find any measuring spoons in the kitchen the property management contact had some delivered from Wal Mart which was unexpected but helpful.The yard worked out well for astrophotography and we got lucky with two clear nights.We did have technical/mechanical issues with the wifi, hot tub and stove top which the management company wasn't able to resolve during our stay which was a bummer. The hot tub (and allowing dogs) had been a big part of our selection decision and I had even inquired prior to arrival that it was working. We couldn't get it above 90 while we were there. That being said we got some good family time in.

Everything was good! Hot water, good water pressure, comfortable beds and linens, good location to Joshua Tree and a grocery store very close by. The HVAC/air conditioning works well, but it fairly loud- so depending on noise sensitivity- a consideration. The coffee maker is kinda wonky- add double the water! haha. But overall those two tiny things are the only thing we noticed but were easily worked around. The house has a cool vibe and we enjoyed our stay! Our biggest disappointment was there are no screens on the windows. We prefer opening windows at night for fresh air and to save resources- so we often gravitate to homes vs hotels to allow for this. It certainly gets cold enough at night in the area. However, without any screens we could not do that and had to use the air conditioning. We now will ask and not assume- so that is on us- but FYI.

Perfect in every way

LOVE this house. So comfortable and they think if everything! Robes, coffee, anything you can imagine. Every corner was a new artistic adventure. Great communication. Would definitely recommend and will return!

Amazing house, ideal location !!!

The property is absolutely amazing for a family of 5. Great layout for indoor or outdoor hanging! Beautiful views of the desert and city lights at night. Ideal location to multiple Joshua tree entrances. Maybe not the best for dogs as there is jumping cholla in the backyard and interior dirt areas in the house — but we didn’t have any issues here. Great communication with Shelly !! Awesome place. We will definitely be back !!!

Wow!!! What a beautiful property! Art abounds . The home is well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the pool and BBQ, relaxed inside at night . Close to Joshua Tree NP. Shelly greeted us and showed us around the home . Her hospitality was appreciated. We look forward to returning.

Hands down best place to stay

This was THE MOST amazing house and THE MOST amazing house management I’ve ever seen. The house itself is stunning and accommodating and the property is just jaw dropping. The management team goes above and beyond to make your stay over the top. I would recommend this house to EVERYONE. Great vacation spot for friends and family to spend time together and enjoy nature. 5 stars all the way.

We rang in the New Year at this property and had the best time. Full of artistic charm and treasures from Huell's adventures. The current owner has done an amazing job adding her personal style to the mix. We will definitely be back again!

Modern luxuries in a picturesque location

This was the perfect ending to our spring break road trip with our teens. The wheelhouse is an expertly decorated ranch home just inside 29 Palms city limits, yet remote enough to provide a sense of retreat while you watch incredible sunsets and stargaze by the pool, firepit or jetted spa. We stayed in a lot of our places during our time in Arizona and California, but the Wheelhouse was definitely the highlight of our trip!

A wonderful feeling away from home

We stayed for nights during December 2017. The home was perfect for what we wanted. All the elements of the house fit beautifully and make you want to stay at the house all day rather than go do activities outdoor. There is a beautiful warmth to the house. We enjoyed the hot tub, the outdoor spaces, the ping pong table. The home also allowed for cooking of all kinds - the kitchen is well appointed and the outdoor grill was great. The landscaping, views, and lighting both inside and outside the house were fantastic - creating a wonderful feeling in a desert environment. Lastly, the small touches also made for a very wonderful feeling of comfort. For example, the bed sheets were high end, super soft and very comfortable. As were the towels. All in all, we would fully recommend this property to anyone. And we would love to visit again.
