Overall we enjoyed our stay at Sugar Beach Condos. The condo is just a few steps from the beach (of course it is on the 3rd floor), and the balcony provided a wonderful view. The pool is across from the unit, and is very well kept. This is an older unit, of which I was aware, and could use some upgrades. The condo can sleep up to 6, and has plenty of room to move around. The beds were very comfortable, and each room has a bathroom. There is a full kitchen, which is definitely a plus, as going out to eat with a family of 5 can be very expensive. There is also a washer and dryer, which is a lifesaver when at the beach.
There were several issues, that can easily be resolved. There were exposed electrical outlets in the upstairs loft and the balcony. The sliding glass doors were not functioning in the master bedroom (there was a note on the doors). One lamp in the spare bedroom was missing a light bulb, (no spare bulbs available) and one lamp in the master bedroom did not work at all. The closet doors in the master bedroom would not close. There was a towel rack in the master bathroom that was coming out of the wall, and the freezer was leaking water onto the top shelf of the refrigerator (we put a towel on the shelf to soak up the water).
The property manager contacted me before we flew in for our stay, and was easy to get in contact with during our trip. I did notify her of some of the things I listed above. She gave me great information on things to do/avoid during our visit, which was very helpful.
Overall, we had a good experience. The check-in/check-out process was seamless. I do recommend, if you have never been to St. Croix before, to rent a car. That is an absolute must, just out of convenience and cost.
