We would like to apologize for the inconvenience that you experienced during your stay at Ocean Park Sanctuary. Communication is a key factor in the success of our business, so we are very sorry, and do agree, that things could have been executed more efficiently on our end. We have reviewed our guest communication procedures and have made some changes that we feel will better serve our guests in the future, should something like this occur again. This was not the experience that we want to provide for our guests, so we are very sorry that these issues happened during your stay. We hope that you enjoyed the rest of your stay at the home that you moved to. We wanted to let you know that the homeowners of Ocean Park Sanctuary have hired a contractor and completed the repair of the plumbing issues at the property. Additionally, they have taken this time to do more preventive maintenance at their home. As of today, Ocean Park Sanctuary is once again fully functional and looks as great as it ever has. Once again, we are just sorry that these issues occurred during your time at the home. Thank you for taking time to speak with our management team about the issues. As discussed, we will refund you for your laundry bill and will also refund you the hotel stay pending your receipt. It is through feedback such as this that our business has the best opportunity to improve. Our company was voted the Best Vacation Rental Company in Monterey County this year. We feel that it is because of our guest and owner satisfaction ratings that we were able to achieve this award. We would like to respond to your review with the following notes: To begin, the issue relating to the shower. You claimed that after showering, the water would get all over the floor. Our maintenance engineer inspected this claim during your stay as well as after your departure. We found that there were no physical issues with the shower or the shower door. One thing to note, the shower door must be completely closed to prevent water from leaking onto the floor. The second issue was relating to the creaking bed. This issue was reported and corrected immediately. We thank you for bringing this to our attention. We would like to add that all of the beds in this house are less than one year old. The third issue was relating to the commode (toilet). It seems that our staff have no record of this issue ever being reported during your stay. We would have happily and efficiently resolved this issue had it been brought to our attention while your party was in the home. This unit has three bathrooms however, so we hope that your party was able to suffice using the other two. In regards to the age of the home, this home was built at the turn of the 20th century, much like most homes in Pacific Grove. We feel that this adds to the charm of the city and nearly all of our visitors agree. That being said, the owners of the home have completed several fantastic upgrades to the home, which is what makes it one of the most popular homes on our program. It also gives the home a modern "feel" without spoiling the elegance of the Victorian-style in which the home was originally designed. We understand that some of these issues caused an inconvenience and for that we apologize.

We wanted to respond to your review with a few notes. This house is one of our most popular homes in our program and we have received almost all 5-star reviews in the past, so I am so sorry to hear that it was not to your standards. Most of the homes in Pacific Grove were built around the year 1900, which many of our guests feel adds to the charm of the area. The floorplans still reflect that which was trending during this time (i.e. smaller rooms, larger living room spaces, reverse floorplans, smaller showers, etc.). However, the Owners of this home have done some truly amazing improvements regarding renovations since the time they purchased the home. We were unaware that the refrigerator water filter was not working. This is unfortunate because it is a brand new refrigerator. However, we do staff maintenance engineers for issues such as these, so please know that Sanctuary staff would have been able to repair this issue as quickly as it came to our attention. The water bottles are an added amenity from the owner, as part of the welcoming items that you received upon arrival. Once again, we are very sorry to hear that your stay was not to your expectations.
