Welcome to Cedar Bluff Farms

Set on 75 peaceful acres just outside Springfield, Missouri, Cedar Bluff Farms is a beautifully renovated modern farmhouse designed for rest, connection, and celebration. Enjoy a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere with farm animals to visit, a private stocked pond for fishing, scenic trails to explore, and peaceful porches to unwind on. With 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and grand entertaining spaces, The Lodge comfortably sleeps up to 16 and is perfect for weekend getaways, reunions, and special occasions. It’s also an unforgettable setting for microweddings, showers, and birthday celebrations.

The Experience

Wake up to quiet country mornings, golden sunrises, and farm views in every direction. Spend your days wandering the trails, fishing the pond, relaxing on the porch, or letting the kids interact with the goats and chickens. A large yard provides plenty of room for outdoor games and relaxing in the open air, and fiber internet with a dedicated workspace makes remote work or virtual school easy.

Entertainment & Extras

Enjoy a garage game room with foosball, ping pong, Nintendo 64, cornhole, and more, along with board games and books for all ages. Evenings are best spent around the outdoor fire pit with seating, perfect for s’mores and starry nights. Guests also enjoy curated local gifts and thoughtful personal touches throughout their stay.

Intimate Weddings & Events

The Lodge at Cedar Bluff Farms offers a beautiful backdrop for weddings, rehearsal dinners, bachelorette parties, reunions, showers, and celebrations. With open entertaining spaces, five bedrooms, and a massive backyard, your  group can stay together and celebrate all weekend long. We had the most wonderful time. The house is beautiful, super relaxing and very comfortable. My kids loved the animals. We made s’mores. We played outside. I hope to stay there again in the future.

We wanted a place for our three children and their families to spend Christmas with us near my mother who lives in Bolivar, MO. The location allowed us to go to Branson and into Springfield as well as visit her. The farm animals were a delightful experience for our grandsons from the city. The house provided ample space for sleeping, eating and spending time together! There was something for every age! Lovely space we hope to enjoy again.

The house and property were great! From the cute farm kittens that follow you around outside to the wide open space inside, it was great. It was a lot of fun for our kids to get to pet, play with, and even hold the baby goats (I had fund doing that too)!My only regret is really that we didn't have enough time to fully enjoy all the amenities in the house since we were only there for two nights. We will be planning to go back sometime to spend more time!

Idyllic Farmhouse

We absolutely loved our stay! It's beautifully decorated inside & out. The beds are comfortable. It's close to Springfield & attractions but far enough out our kids could stargaze at night. The hosts were so kind and accommodating! We loved having space to walk down to ponds, pet (and feed) goats, watch cows, gather around a firepit, play games & eat around a family sized table, play whiffle ball baseball at 10pm in the yard, play games in the game room...honestly one of the best trips we've ever taken!

Family and friends surprise for the Patriarch

Our family and friends gathered to surprise the 70th year of the family’s Patriarch. The venue was perfect - able to sleep comfortably the entire group of 14 who spent the night and was perfect for hosting all the dinner guests. The property is absolute PEACE and quiet. There were activities available for all the ages and experiencing farm life to pet the animals was so much fun for everyone. The hosts are amazing and very attentive to any questions or needs. The venue is also well equipped to cook and serve meals. 100% recommend. Lord willing, we will return soon!

Family Fun

We took a quick weekend trip with our kids and grandkids. The house was perfect for all of our needs. There was plenty of space to spread out but also to play together. The animals were fun to watch. We even sang karaoke out by the fire pit because we knew it wouldn't disturb anyone! (We travel with a karaoke machine! ) Hilary was very quick to respond to any questions I had for her. We really enjoyed our stay!

Forever Memories Created!

Shane & Hilary were exceptional hosts!We had the absolute best time as a family over Easter weekend. Three families came together, and the house made it easy for us to enjoy every moment — from cooking all our meals together in the spacious kitchen to relaxing without ever needing the TV (yes, really!). Even with some stormy weather, there was so much to do that boredom was never an option.This place was exactly the kind of serenity we all needed. It's truly a haven — full of laughter, joy, and sweet moments. We explored acres of beautiful land, fed and pet farm animals bursting with personality, and created the kind of memories that leave your heart feeling full (and the adults with a few more happy laugh lines!).We had six adults and five kids (ages 7 to 15), and not once did anyone say they were bored — a miracle in itself! Shane and Hilary, along with their two lovely kids, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. From helping with the animals to setting up the campfire, their warmth and thoughtfulness made a lasting impression.The kitchen was a dream — perfect for multiple people to cook at once without getting in each other's way, which made preparing Easter dinner together a true joy.We wholeheartedly recommend this VRBO to anyone wanting to unplug from the city and reconnect with nature and each other. We cherished the peace and quiet (with the occasional cameo from Wilson, the charming resident donkey ), and left feeling so refreshed.

Wonderful!!

Here with our family son. His wife and 7 grandkids. It was clean, spacious, quiet and beautiful. Our host was accommodating, accessible and attentive to all our needs. We will definitely recommend this place and our host. The grandkids loved the farm animals and running around. Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay!!

Our story unfolds in a harmonious blend of God's blessings, hard work, and love of family. We wanted to create a serene retreat where every guest can connect with nature and create lasting memories.

We’re a family of five, born and raised in southwest Missouri. Our family farm, just a mile from the lodge, is where we continue to raise cattle, grow corn, and share family dinners. We feel incredibly blessed to have added to the farm and purchased and renovated the lodge for a short term home rental and horse boarding facility, where families can experience the beautiful countryside that means so much to us.

This is a working farm, so you may see your hosts from time to time completing farm chores like feeding the animals and taking care of the grounds. Say hi! We're friendly!
