Beautiful tranquil setting and warm local hospitality

Bajo and Duda (as well as their daughter and son-in-law) could not have been more welcoming when we arrived at their home in this peaceful valley overlooking Zminica Lake. The house was well equipped , clean and cosy and coped well with the unusually hot weather. It was a great space for a family of 5 with three teenagers and an excellent base for seeing the stunning Dormitor area and beyond. As well as arranging for home-made local food to be prepared for us and inviting us in for drinks our hosts arranged for us to be collected for a white water rafting/ zipwire trip to the Tara Canyon. We also enjoyed and recommend swimming in the lake and a trip to the Black Lake. We were very pleased with our choice of accommodation and highly recommend it to everyone wanting to explore the northern Montenegro landscapes from a beautiful and peaceful location.

Einsames Berghaus

Das Haus von Bajo und Duda entspricht der Beschreibung und eignet sich hervorragend als Basis zur Erkundung des Durmitor Nationalparks oder der Tara Schlucht. Es liegt sehr einsam und die nächste größere Siedlung ist ca. 3 km entfernt. Für Einsamkeit und Ruhe ist das Haus am See der perfekte Ort. Es ist zweckmäßig ausgestattet und sauber. Das Schönste für uns war der tolle wärmende Kachelofen :-) supergemütlich, wenn es draußen stürmt und regnet. Bajo ist sehr freundlich und war für eventuelle Fragen für uns da. Ein schöner Aufenthalt für uns.

Lovely quite place with a unique view and setting!

Ideal location to resource, enjoy the silence and nature! Very nice hosts giving advice on activitities and local food which can be brought to the house. The lamb and cheese pie are absolutely to try.

Lovely happily married couple who love nature and Zminica.
Duda is well known author of children literature who draws her inspiration from Zminica. Bajo is retired entrepreneur who enjoys his days in making barbecue and delicious meals and fishing. They are in Zminica 6 months a year where they spend their time in old family house nearby the listed property.

We can arrange field trips and local food by request. We will be present at the listing during your stay and make sure you have everything you need and to feel comfortable as in your own home. Basic internet is available if you need it.

We can organize rafting on river Tara for you, let us know in advance, or when you come to the house.

Also, the possibility is to let us know in advance whether you want a homemade meal to wait for you upon your arrival. Please contact us with a message for all the details
