Great stay

We had a great stay! The host and owner helped us very good and it was the perfect place for some beautiful walks. We received a lot of information about possible activities and even about the best border crossings to take. It was very helpful.

Nice place to visit the Durmitor National Park

Very nice place within meters of the entrance of the Durmitor National Park. Great availability from our hosts to give many useful information. The apartment fully corresponds to the photos. Really easy to go in and to leave the apartment. We will certainly come back in this apartment if we come back in Zabljak.

Great central and comfortable cabin

We stayed 5 nights in july 2017 (2 adults and 2 kids). The cabin is great - everything seems new and the place is clean. The location is perfect: 10 minutes walk to the black lake - no need to bother with crowded parking. Many hiking paths start from the area so it is perfect for nature lovers. The welcome was friendly and the owner ready to answer our questions. A very small minus - on the warm summer days, we missed an outdoor terrasse or balcony, or just outdoor furniture in the garden. But still a 5 stars location!

A superlative location; a wonderful host

You could not wish for a better location for this wonderful cosy property. A ten minute walk through the forest to Black Lake where you can choose from playgrounds and restaurants or hikes to the mountains. Jelena and Illija were so wonderful and hospitable: you could not wish for a better welcome. Cannot reccommend highly enough

Nettes Häuschen, super Gegend!

Ilija ist absolut zuvorkommend und nett. Einzige Minuspunkte: Die Zufahrtsstraße ist durch Tagesausflügler zum Schwarzen See zugeparkt. Man kann nicht gleichzeitig duschen und abspülen, weil dafür der Wasserdruck nicht ausreicht.

Perfect location within short walk of Black Lake and with amazing hikes into the Durmitor mountains straight from the front door. Comfortable and well equipped - we really enjoyed our stay.

Charming mountain getaway

My girlfriend and I had a great week away at this charming chalet right on the footsteps of the Durmitor national park. The house is built right into the hillsides and footpaths taking you up high into the mountains are a stones throw away. The property is a little outside Zabljak, around a 3-4 minute drive, making it feel like it's right out in the countryside but it's also very handy for shopping and cafes. The house had loads of space and was well equipped making it easy to be completely self sufficient. The national park was incredible, it's a bit of a hidden gem. You really need to think of Swiss alps if you want to picture it - however without the massive associated price tag. There are loads of well defined routes for beginner walkers but also much more challenging routes if you fancy. The lake has an fantastic colour and is very well kept. There are plenty of bike hire stations and I'd recommend seeing the surrounding area by bike. If you fancy eating out there are a number of good restaurants with really low prices making it difficult to bother cooking yourself. Our favoroute was cafe Oro and is perfect for a light snack or meal.

Architect owner has recently built this chalet suitable for all seasons. It is set in a spectacular and unspoiled natural environment of one of the hidden treasures of Montenegro – the National Park of Durmitor. It presents a unique chance to experience life in a generations-old rural environment and a picturesque setting that is the small town of Zabljak, in the hart of Durmitor mountains. The UNESCO protected setting of the National Park of Durmitor, where the house is located, is a true delight for all the connoiseurs of nature, winter and summer sports and traditions typical of Montenegro and its long history of living with and adapting to nature. This house within walking distance from the Black Lake (Crno Jezero) - a premium tourist attraction of Durmitor mountain range.

The tourist season stretches all year round with plenty of activities on offer, including full range of winter sports, hiking, rafting, mountain biking, fishing, etc. This location is nature's real treasure.
