So Perfect! The home is was everything we hoped for. It is exactly as pictured. Close to so many fun options of things to do. A fully stocked kitchen if you love to cook. Awesome host. We could not have loved it more!

We enjoyed a five night stay at this wonderful creekside cabin. Perfect for just the two of us retirees looking to get out of the summer heat of Phoenix. JoAnne has thought of everything! The kitchen was stocked with so many necessities, as well toiletries, games, books, and information packets about the surrounding area. Nice touch!The cabin is very comfy with a rustic decor. It is nestled by a swift-running stream about a half-mile off of the 550 in a very quiet, rural-like spot. No noise! Joanne checked in on us early the second morning to welcome us and to ask if there was anything that we need. Very thoughtful. This location was perfect for us since we had plans to visit Durango, Silverton, Ouray, and Telluride. So much hiking to do in this area. We really liked the Durango vibe, and our favorite place was Telluride. We highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a complete mountain getaway. There is plenty to do in the area during the day, plus complete privacy when you come back home after a big day exploring. Thank you for a wonderful stay, JoAnne! It was perfect!

Cabin between Ouray and Ridgway

We recently stayed at this charming mountain cabin and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The cabin is beautifully situated just outside Ouray and close to Ridgway. It was just a short drive to the dirt bike trailheads. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, including modern appliances and plenty of cookware. The cabin was clean upon arrival, which was greatly appreciated. Cell service and Internet can be spotty. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and immerse themselves in nature.

Best (of four) places we've stayed in Ouray

We've stayed at four different cabins in Ouray and this was our favorite. The outside sitting area/creek is very relaxing and private; by far the best atmosphere of any place we've ever stayed. The home was very clean and roomy (a whole family could stay here and be very comfortable); it was also the best stocked with supplies of any place we have ever stayed. We traveled with a group and we each took turns hosting a dinner; we had six people over one night and the only thing we supplied was the food... everything else (spices, cookware, place settings, dishwasher detergent, etc) was supplied in the cabin. It's close to Ouray (5-6 miles) and very close to the Ouray KOA campground (about a half mile); if, like us, you have friends staying at the KOA you will find this place VERY convenient. I would definitely stay here again! If you stay when it's hot out and need more than one bedroom you should be aware of the following: We stayed in late July and it was in the 90's during our stay. There was a portable air conditioner downstairs but the house stayed cool enough that we did not need that air conditioner. But, both bedrooms are upstairs and only one had a portable air conditioner; that air conditioner cooled that room very well (we only used the room with the air conditioner and were very comfortable). The other upstairs bedroom got uncomfortably hot during the day and, while opening the windows at night did cool the room, it took some time for it to cool down.

So beautiful, I didn't want to leave.

What an amazing and cozy place to stay. All the comforts of home were provided. The creek in the back was so relaxing. I am still thinking about this wonderful vacation and look forward to returning again next year.

Picture Perfect Mountain Getaway

This cabin is exactly what a mountain getaway is suppose to feel like. The cabin is very well maintained both inside & out, the inside is comfortable and decorated well and the outside with 4 adirondack Chairs around a fire pit with a stream running by it is exactly what we were looking for to get away from the city and relax. We had a fire one night inside and the fireplace worked perfect, warmed the cabin up nicely on a rainy night and was just relaxing to sit and watch. The other nights we were lucky enough to be able to sit outside and have fires while we listened to the stream running and just enjoy each others company. We had deer come by the path running beside the creek daily and if you just sit quiet they will just hang out. I love this cabin and was already planning our next trip before we even left.

Creekside cottage

This lovely cottage was perfect for our stay in Ouray. This was one of the cleanest, most well stocked places that we’ve stayed in. We had a mule deer cross the stream right behind the cottage and walked just beyond the yard! The location was perfect for exploring all that Ouray and Ridgeway has to offer.

Great home base for Ridgeway and Ouray

Adorable little house, EVERYTHING you need in the kitchen, laundry, and bath. Really nice host. We enjoyed both towns and riding bikes on the peaceful farm roads. Very clean.

Nice cozy and relaxing place. Super quiet with lots of wildlife.

This property is perfectly placed in between Ridgeway and Oaray and only a short drive to Telluride. The property manager was wonderful too, she made sure we had everything we needed and even mailed us something we accidentally left behind! WONDERFUL PLACE!

Creekside Cottage

Delightful and Quaint

My husband and our friends greatly enjoyed the cabin. It was so cutely decorated. We stayed for a full week. The location was just outside of Ouray and Ridgway. Very peaceful. Every necessity was provided inside the cabin plus more. If you need two bedrooms with doors you may not like this cabin. We made do fine but only one couple had privacy. Use caution on the steep narrow stairs! I slipped and injured myself which put a damper on our 4-wheeling but that says more about me than the cabin. 🙂 We were thankful to find medical tape, etc. Jo was very helpful whenever we contacted her. We found a perfect little picnic basket that we took for one of our day outings. Thank you for that! We give this cabin a big thumbs up 5⭐ rating!! Would love to come back next year!

Comfort and Convenience

This sweet little home is conveniently located halfway between Ridgway and Ouray. It's nestled against a hillside next to flowing water with several comfortable places outside to fully enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The house has everything we needed to feel completely at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay !

Fantastic property

I have nothing but good things to say about this property. I rented it based on the outdoor space which is excellent. A fire at night is perfect for end of day relaxing. The inside was very nicely done and the cottage was stocked with everything needed. We will definitely stay at this property again.

The perfect mountain getaway!

The property is in a perfect location. It had all the amenities we needed and more. But what we enjoyed the most was the backyard! It's the perfect space to enjoy mother nature and relax!
