The house is in a prime location if you enjoy the ambiance and charm of a small town. We were in walking distance of restaurants (Bob's Diner being our favorite), bakeries (including Moe's Bagels), gift shops and the library. The bathrooms are recently renovated. The kitchen is well supplied if you DIY. Our hosts were amazing.

Charming older home, beautifully decorated inside. Lots of choices for gathering a family group to visit. Small side yard…would have liked an outdoor grill. Steps into home were not suitable for elderly people with walkers or canes, but I understand that changes are limited on the exterior of a registered home. Owners were very nice and friendly, helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Before your booking, we had several in-depth messages to make sure our home would be the right fit for your needs and expectations. We discussed the layout of our ranch-style home, including the three very small steps leading to the entrance (with no stairs inside the home). We also want to share for future guests that all of our amenities are clearly listed in our listing, and a grill is not an amenity we currently offer. That information, along with the size and layout of our backyard, was available and provided prior to booking so guests can make the best decision for their stay. We always want guests to feel informed and comfortable before arriving, and we appreciate the messages we shared with you throughout that process. That said, we take your feedback seriously. Our goal is for every guest to feel welcome and have an easy, comfortable arrival experience. We will absolutely consider the best ways to make those small entry steps feel more accessible for future guests while continuing to preserve the character and comfort of our home. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. We truly value feedback that helps us improve and create a better experience for everyone who stays with us.

We recently stayed for a week in July and thoroughly enjoyed how close we were to down town. We visited Louisville for a wedding at the Simon which was just a block from the house. We would recommend bobs diner, the Waterloo and moxies pastries. We visited sweet cow ice cream a few times as well which was delish. The house was clean, cute and very comfortable - it truly felt like home away from home. We had 4 adults and two kids and we felt comfortable and enjoyed having space to hang out. Hot tub was a bonus - we all loved it. Our kids loved the park located nearby that we were able to walk to. There was so much to do! Cody was very responsive to any question we had. Couldn’t recommend this location more! !

We loved staying at this house while visiting family in the area. So many great parks and restaurants nearby. This house was perfect space for our family and the kids loved the trains and toys! Thanks for a great stay :)

We were honored to inherit it after the passing of his beloved mother, who was a warm, caring homemaker with a deep love for serving others.
