Enjoy all the RRG has to offer with this fully appointed new cabin, centrally located between the Natural Bridge and the Red River Gorge. Experience hiking trails, climbing, restaurants, and attractions without the need for AWD to access the property. With artwork throughout the cabin from famous RRG photographer Leonard Beck, you will feel immersed in Kentucky’s beautiful RRG from the moment you enter the cabin.



The Space:

Welcome to Belay Station! In climbing, a belay station is the rallying point where climbers gather before their ascent. Whether your RRG plans are hiking, climbing or you’re are just in need of a place to unwind, we want Belay Station to be your rallying point. And if you must log on while you’re here, Belay Sation boasts 500mbps high speed internet – great for gaming or setting up your vacation office.

Belay Station sits at the end of a quiet semi-private road, perched on a hill with tree-lined views making it the ideal spot for a peaceful soak in the hot tub or stargazing by the fire.

Begin your morning with a warm cup of coffee or hot tea, prepared at the fully equipped coffee station. Take a seat on the deck and enjoy the spectacular sunrise. If you prefer to sleep in, you can rest easy with the black-out window treatments in each bedroom. Enjoy the large bathroom and custom shower featuring everything you need to start your day.

If you plan on spending a day inside, Belay station features four streaming Roku TVs, and an entertainment loft with a two-player Classic Arcade Table, Brunswick Air Hockey, mini fridge, board games and a 55” TV.

Whether dining out or dining in, Belay Station has you covered. Centrally located to the best restaurants the gorge has to offer, it’s just a quick trip to great food or nightlife. If you prefer to relax and enjoy a home cooked meal, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need: air fryer, toaster, blender, pots and pans, and a wide assortment of utensils. For those who love to cook outside, Belay Station offers a charcoal park grill and a four-burner gas grill for the grill master in all of us!

After spending a day away on an adventure, there’s so many options to unwind. Take a soak in the hot tub, have smores by the fire pit, get cozy in the rocking chairs, or just hang out and rest by the electric fireplace and TV. When you’re ready to turn in, Belay Station offers two queen beds with luxe sheets, pillows and Duvets.

Guest Access:

Guests have full private access to the entire cabin, including the hot tub, arcade loft, outdoor fire pit, grilling area, and all indoor amenities. The driveway and parking area are yours alone during your stay. Check-in is completely contactless through a keyless smart lock—we’ll send your unique code the morning of arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Belay Station is located in the brand-new Shawnee Run development, a quiet and growing cabin community just a few minutes down the road from The Gorge Underground. The area feels peaceful and tucked away, yet you’ll see a handful of other modern cabins nearby, giving the neighborhood a comfortable and welcoming feel.



You’ll be close to all the best spots in the Red River Gorge. It’s roughly 10 minutes to Natural Bridge State Park, Miguel’s Pizza, Daniel Boone Coffee Shop, and the RRG Zipline, making this an ideal home base for exploring, hiking, climbing, or grabbing a bite between adventures.



Despite the convenient location, the property still feels like a hilltop escape, surrounded by trees and nature—perfect for guests who want both privacy and easy access to everything the Gorge has to offer.

Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.



EV charging is allowed and there is a portable Tesla charger available at this cabin.

Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, make-up cleaner) are provided.

This cabin is located on a well maintained, flat gravel road. 4x4 and AWD not required.

This cabin utilizes an above ground cistern for water. Guests are welcome to bring drinking water if they prefer.

There is both a propane grill and a charcoal park grill. The propane is supplied; guests are asked to bring their own charcoal and lighter fluid.

Guests are also asked to provide their own firewood.

This cabin is strictly pet free. Any guest that brings a pet will incur a $100 fee.
