We booked this in July 2014 and enjoyed a week at 'Little White Top', named after the rocky reef area that surrounds the point. Everyone in the family loved it ... quiet, quaint, a genuine old school gem of a seasonal home with a fantastic protected waterfront location. I kayaked daily, including a couple of longer trips up the nearby river and across the open water to the Falkner Island lighthouse which is now a bird sanctuary. It's a 3 mile crossing so not for the casual kayaker or rough windy days. But there are many great places to kayak to for all skill levels. The coastline here is great to explore with 2 beautiful parks in the area one just a 10 min paddle (or bike ride), beaches, and you can also paddle as far as the Thimble Islands on a nice day. The house was perfect for us with plenty of bedrooms, and the two half baths plus nice shower accessed from the backyard. No TV was great, and nicely balanced by the rock solid WiFi connection. Kitchen had everything we needed and was a pleasure to cook in. Nice to have the 5 gallon drinking water supplies available. We swam both off the rocks and off the little beach just 4 doors down, where you could also keep kayaks if you prefer to launch from a beach. If you swim off the rocks it helps to use water shoes, as it's slippery. The screened porch is fantastic and we spent many a family night there having dinner and playing board games. The view across the bay is great, particularly around July 4th when lots of fireworks are viewable. Just loved it, and the owners were great too, very friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommended, we hope to come back!
