This place has it all. If you want to stay where you can go in the Blanco river, feed deer right in the backyard, and be close to wimberly and driftwood then this is the place. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. The owners are usually on site and ready to help in any way. I have stayed there 3 timesEs and planning my next stay.

Amazing hosts and property!

This home has it all. We feed deer, watched hummingbirds, walked, and went to the river. I would recommend this home to anyone that wants to get away and enjoy all Wimberly has to offer.

Gorgeous, quite location with amazing hosts.

This is a very well equipped property with a beautiful deck and outside area. We enjoyed the ease of access to the river and the tranquility of the area. Richard and Donna are fabulous hosts and made us feel very welcome. This was our second time staying at this property and we’ll definitely come again.

Wildlife and songbirds

My family and I stayed in Wimberly, Texas to attend a niece's wedding. We were busy with lots of wedding festivities but enjoyed coming home each night to our VRBO and loved waking each morning to cups of morning coffee on the porch with wildlife and songbirds. What a nice get away. The owners were friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

Perfect Getaway

Thank you so much for allowing us into your beautiful home...we had a relaxing time away, really enjoyed sitting out at the firepit, making smores, and feeding the abundant deer...especially Charlene! The balcony/deck was a great space to unwind as well and watch the birds, so many hummingbirds...one day we'll need to come back and explore Wimberly a bit more. It was lovely meeting and talking with you, Richard and Donna, hopefully we can do it again!

Close to river. Tubes provided. No crowds. Beautiful home. great porch to watch deer, birds, etc.

Wonderful. Everything we needed and more. Beds were great, beautiful patio and how can you not love the deer!! Great to have a covered carport. We are already planning another trip!! The hosts live below on the first level and brought up breakfast every morning. Private river access and tubes provided. Loved the place.

Wonderful Wimberley House

This house was perfect for our needs, very clean and had everything we needed. The owners were so helpful and a joy to meet, the house & decor has great character and feels like a Wimberley TX house should. The grounds are beautiful with so many birds and the hummingbirds were visiting too! The bed was comfortable and the coffee setup was awesome in the AM, just what we needed after the birthday festivities we attended. The location off River Road was convenient and beautiful. We would definitely stay here again - thank you Donna & Richard for sharing your place!!

Fantastic Place!!

Needed a place in Wimberley for 4 people attending a family wedding right after Thanksgiving. It was only 2 nights but we had a great time. The wildlife was amazing, the accommodations incredible, the s'mores supplies for the firepit perfect!! Super clean and comfortable. Owners thought of everything and are the best hosts! Family wants to come back for a real vacation there and already planning little daytrips and things to do. Can't wait to try this in the spring or summer. Thanks for a memorable weekend.

I can not say enough good things about this place! From the first “hey Dana” phone call answering to our hug good bye I truly felt like we were staying with family. The house is great! Best COVID GET AWAY VACATION!

Richard and Donna are the best hosts! They have EVERYTHING you need ... all you need is your suitcase! We sat with them almost every night around the campfire talking! They even gave us S’mores to make! They anticipated our needs before we even figured it out for ourselves! We can’t wait to go back and are already trying to synchronize 4 schedules!

Great getaway

The location of the house was perfect. The subdivision has two private parks on the Blanco....one with shallows and a small tube chute, the other with a deeper area for swimming. The house is a corner lot set up to feed the wildlife. Deer came throughout the day and we got to hand feed them Cardinals, finches and hummingbirds were all over. The view from the second floor deck is amazing. Our hosts, Richard and Donna, were very helpful and knowledgeable. We had a great time.

This house has it all. Everything was clean and tidy. There were plenty of housewares including nice dishese and towels. Outside the hummingbirds, texas birds and deer abound. My daughter practically has deer eating out of her hand. The back deck is great for watching nature and drinking a glass of wine. It is a short walk to the swimming hole where the water is clean and cold. I would love to go back again.

Another Fabulous stay in Wimberley

This is our second time booking this house for our get away before the kids go back to school. We love the close access to the river and the drive to Wimberley Square is short. The house is stocked with almost anything you need. Richard and Donna are great hosts. We will definitely be back again!

Mini getaway

Although it went by fast and seemed a little to short of a stay, we enjoyed ourselves very much. Got a little sunburn from being at the river for less than 2 hours but, it was so relaxing, fun and peaceful. Watching the deer was nice. A little drive from the square for us, but again the river made it worth it. Donna is awesome and we love her!

Great Getaway

My wife and I invited another couple to getaway for the weekend and visit Wimberley for the first time. Aside from the drizzling rain off and on, we had a wonderful time. The property owners were very friendly and were great to visit with. They built a camp fire in the evening and let us feed the deer. The property is close to town and all the shops and restaurants. Fantastic Get-away

The property was clean and well kept! We really enjoyed our extended weekend on the property. The hosts were very accommodating and made the check in process seemless. They also provided us everything needed plus s’mores supplies!! My husband, myself, our 9 year old, and 10 month old stayed on the property. There’s plenty of room and the location was perfect. Highly recommended.

Relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. The deer feeding and campfire were an added bonus for our visit. The home was a great size, beds were comfortable and the deck was a lovely way to enjoy the sunsets. Thank you so much. It was perfect

Richard and I have been sharing our home since Dec. 2015 and have met many wonderful people from all over. We enjoy meeting them and then we give our guests their space! We live on the first floor and the guests have separate and private space on 2nd and 3rd floors.

Richard is retired Lt. Col. in the Air Force and I am a retired private investigator. We have two dogs and one cat that live on the property with us and are very, very friendly. We both enjoy meeting and greeting our guests, but if you want solitude - we will provide that too!

We are available for information, starting campfires, visiting, directions, etc.! We live downstairs on the first floor. We want our guests to have a wonderful experience in Wimberley.

My parents built the house in 1984 and Richard and I inherited it. Our daughter mentioned that it would be fun to share this house with others and so we decided to start this new venture in December 2015. We love meeting our guests and then giving them their space to enjoy everything Wimberley has to offer and to relax on the deck. If you have any questions about our property, all you have to do is ask.

This property has had a lot of guests that enjoy just relaxing on the deck....a place to just sit and enjoy the wildlife! Our home is comfortable and a great place to make memories. We have some deer that will eat out of your hand, a great deck, campfire in the evening and lots of local sites to see.

We offer s’mores fixings, cozy campfires, relaxing in the Blanco River and the opportunity to feed the deer—when they choose to visit, of course. Guests can enjoy as much solitude as they wish, surrounded by beautiful Hill Country scenery and crisp fall evening temperatures that make time by the campfire especially memorable.
