Nestled in quiet Estate Fish Bay, this delightful villa offers a peaceful mountain view retreat for 1-4 guests. Newly refreshed in and out and new to the rental market this quaint villa is surrounded by palm trees and nature. Sol Cottage Villa offers 2 bedrooms including a queen on the main floor, and a king or optional two twin beds on the second floor. The cozy full bathroom features a screened top (to keep pesky bugs out) and island stoned outdoor shower. This lovely property is the perfect home away from home. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like WiFi, TVs, and ACs throughout and a washing machine and dryer during your stay. The pool and deck area are private and surrounded by palm trees and feature a seating area, loungers and a dining table as well as a gas grill and outdoor fridge for easy access to those adult beverages.
Inside there is a dining room, full kitchen, eat in bar and living room with TV.
Each bedroom also has a TV. Delightfully appointed, this villa will not disappoint.

This villa also has a brand-new Pekins 20KW and very quiet generator to ensure you are never without power during your peaceful vacation!

Owned and operated by the owner of Miller Properties, a respected Property Management company on St John.

Children under 8 are not allowed and adults under 25 are not allowed.

Villa was extremely nice, kitchen had everything we needed, pool was great. Host let us some treats in the refrigerator which were excellent. We arrived late in the evening and James waited for us to check us into the house and gave us a lot of tips for local beaches.Our trip was wonderful, only advice I have is the roads can get a little slippery after it rains especially on some of the curves that are going up hill.

This house is a gem on St. John! It had everything we needed and was perfect for our 10 year anniversary trip! It’s well maintained and very clean, my favorite was the outdoor shower. We will definitely be back and it’s close by everything (restaurants, grocery stores, beaches, etc.)

Absolute gem of a property and fantastic hosts! Plenty of space for our family of four to spread out. Our teenage daughters loved the privacy of the upstairs bedroom. We spent lots of time on the beautiful outdoor deck and pool area - great for dining, lounging, hanging out in pool. The enclosed front porch was also a favorite for reading and playing games. Kitchen was very well-appointed and great for cooking easy meals and packing picnic lunches for the beach. So many nice extras made our first trip to St. John fun and easy -- we used the beach chairs, beach towels/blankets and backpack coolers every day and the personal welcome by JP including basket of delicious fresh salads and snacks and many great tips for fun places to visit, restaurants, activities on the island were a great start to our stay. The location is fabulous, private and quiet, friendly neighbors, easy access to everything. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again!

The host is always great! J. Miller properties is the best. The house was nice and had most anything we needed. But the upstairs bedroom has the better bed and is way more comfortable, but too precarious for most adults to use. The outside is relatively private so around the pool was nice and it has a good deck and plenty of seating or lounging.

Our favorite VRBO rental to date! Such a private, beautiful home with so many outstanding amenities. The pool and surrounding private oasis, and the outdoor shower were our favorite features, but the home is just gorgeous all-around. The host, JP graciously met us and led us to the home where he walked us through room by room, explaining how to use everything. The extras provided (snacks, beach towels, chairs, backpack cooler, sunblock, bug spray, etc) were unexpected and much appreciated! The home is located in a quiet part of the island, yet a short drive from town. We would love to stay again for our next trip!

Sol Cottage Villa was the perfect home base for our time in St. John! We couldn't have asked for more. The villa is located in a quiet area, yet convenient to Centerline Road and Cruz Bay. We visited five different beaches and the four beach chairs were a blessing, as were the two cooler backpacks provided. We had packed our own cooler bag but never used it because the backpacks were easier, more organized, and kept our packed lunch and drinks nice and cold. Each afternoon we returned to the villa for a dip in the pool. The best part is the pool was shaded by afternoon so we didn't have to reapply sunscreen! From there, we relaxed with a book typically on the screened porch for a few hours and then again later in the evening. True relaxation. The beds were comfy, the outdoor shower was one of a kind, and the gardens surrounding the home were beautiful and provided peaceful sounds as the breeze blew. JP and Beth were both excellent hosts, providing tons of info and recommendations and guidance about the power outages (which we somehow managed to avoid completely during our stay -- a miracle!).

Won’t disappoint!!

We’re hosts ourselves, and realize not all properties meet the high bar of cleanliness and comfort. Beth’s space exceeded expectations - clean, comfortable, very well stocked - and she was an awesome host to match! We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Great property for a few people. The house and outside areas, including the pool, were all clean and maintained very well. The grill and kitchen allowed us to cook in a few times, and seemlessly. A very comfortable stay inside and out! The property management company was extremely hospitable and resourceful. The property is ideally located, not too close and not too far from Cruz, and in close proximity to many dining options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property.

Sol Cottage

Our stay in the Sol Cottage was great. The cottage is in a quiet location surrounded by greenery. JP and Beth were very accomodating and responsive to any questions we had while we were there; they went out of their way to help with any ask. JP gave us several reommendations of places to see. If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay on St. John with friendly and reliable hosts, Sol Cottage is a fantastic option.

Worth Every Penny!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed this cute villa. The surrounding trees and plants give the property a secluded feeling, despite being about 15 minutes from downtown Cruz Bay. The property has so many amenities that make it feel like home. The steps to the loft are very steep, so I think they would be challenging for someone who is a little more unbalanced. Aside from that, this is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for privacy and amenties!

This cottage is perfect for 2 couples or 1 couple with 2 kids. The upstairs bedroom is either a king size bed or 2 twins. The property is adorable and showcases the island with stone work and wood accents. Located in Fish Bay is a quiet residential neighborhood, if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. It’s about 10 minutes from downtown Cruz Bay. You will not be awoken at 4:30 am by the roosters you find downtown. The pool is completely private, surrounded by lush green palm trees. The property is nicely landscaped and well maintained. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, including storage containers and insulated cups. Everything works as it should. I would recommend a lighter for the stovetop as we didn’t have power for 4 days of our stay and couldn’t use the gas range to cook but we made the best of it and used the grill. The property is getting a generator installed so that shouldn’t be an issue in the future. There are 2 soft backpack type coolers and a larger igloo cooler to use along with 4 new beach chairs. We forgot our ice packs there so now there are 4 reusable ice packs in the freezer. There is a mini split in each bedroom and one in the living room with ceiling fans in every room. We turned the ac off during the day to conserve energy and it didn’t take long to cool off at night.

Great Place

Sol Cottage had everything we could of needed, full kitchen, Ice, coolers, beach chairs and so much more. Pool was great. Coconut and papaya trees on property. Loved the nature and all the animals. Definitely rent a 4 wheel drive if you plan on visiting any of the beaches, parking is right up the driveway to front of house, no hassle. 10 out of 10 in my opinion.

Second trip - still great

This is our second stay at the property. The location is only about 12 minutes from Cruz Bay and the driveway is flat. The property is very clean with nice finishes. The pool area is very lush and the kitchen is small but well stocked with everything you need to cook meals. There are 2 bedrooms - one with a king bed and one with a Queen. Both mattresses are VERY firm so if that’s your preference you’re in luck! The stairs to the larger bedroom are quite steep but that wasn’t an issue for us as no one in our party has mobility issues. Overall, it was another great stay and we’ll definitely be back!

The unit was very nice and secluded but we had two issues. The first night the smoke alarm in our bedroom chirped all night. The manager came and replaced the battery. The second night there was torrential rain and the roof leaked causing all of our clothing in the closet to get wet. Renters should be told that second bedroom can not be easily accessed

Thank you for your feedback. All issues were addressed in a timely upon notification. There is a photo of the stairs to the second level that clearly portrays the steep-ness of the stairs. I take great pride in this property and a 3 star review for the 2 items that we address quickly seems a bit harsh. Anyhow, thanks for sharing.

Tasteful and lush

We absolutely loved our stay at Sol Cottage Villa! From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention to detail went into every aspect of the home. Our host, JP, was outstanding — incredibly responsive, warm, and thoughtful. He had everything ready for us, and his local insights made our trip even more special. The villa itself is beautifully maintained — spotless, stylish, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The outdoor shower was such a treat, and the private pool surrounded by lush greenery gave us the perfect balance of island serenity and modern comfort. We especially appreciated the little touches — from the welcome items to the well-labeled amenities — that made settling in effortless. Sol Cottage is tucked into a peaceful area of Fish Bay, just a short drive to Cruz Bay and the beaches, which gave us the best of both worlds: total privacy and quick access to everything we wanted to explore.We’re already dreaming about our return. Huge thanks to JP for being such a thoughtful and attentive host. If you’re looking for a relaxing, high-quality St. John experience, this is the place!

Adorable villa!

My husband and I stayed for 6 days this past week and could not have been more pleased! We’ve never stayed in the Fish Bay area before but found the location convenient to Cruz Bay. The villa itself is very well appointed, modern, and clean. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to prepare meals, and there is a grill outside on the deck along with a private pool and laundry room. The kitchen/living room area is small, but we never felt cramped. The master bedroom is up in a loft area and the steps are very small and steep, which wasn’t an issue for us but could be for someone with mobility issues. Both bedrooms and the common area had AC which was great! We also loved the outdoor shower in the bathroom. The landscaping is very lush and beautiful, and parking is right in front of the house. There is an owners cottage on the property as well, which worried us at first because we wanted something private but it wasn’t an issue at all. We also got daily visits from a friendly little brown dog with an underbite wanting snacks which we enjoyed. I’ve stayed in lots of villas in St John big and small and this is hands down one of my favorites. In fact, I’m already planning on booking another stay for this summer!
