Dad and Mom started our family's love affair with the North Shore when they took their honeymoon up to Lake Superior and the Gunflint Trail way back in 1954.
In the 1990's, we started taking regular trips up the North Shore, staying in various rental homes from Lutsen to Grand Marais. And then in 1999, we finally found a beautiful cabin on Lake Superior to call our own just down the road from Lutsen. We call it Lutsen Lakehouse. The cabin has been and continues to be a special home away from home for us.
Dad and Mom have four children and seven grandchildren ... sixteen in all in the family. All of us love to head up to the cabin (usually not at the same time!) to hike and ski and take canoe trips into the Boundary Waters. Most of all though, we love sitting by a roaring fire and watching the many moods of Lake Superior.
We enjoy sharing Lutsen Lakehouse with others who appreciate and respect the home and the North Shore as we do. We have many fond memories from our times there and hope you can visit and make some too!
