Unfortunately, we didn’t stay because when we arrived at 1am (notified the host prior to our trip and confirmed this would not be an issue) the entry code didn’t work! We tried the front door and the garage for an hour and a half and couldn’t get ahold of the host. We called VRBO 24/7 help desk and they couldn’t get in contact with our host either- straight to voicemail. It’s now 2:30am and the only option was to cancel our reservation here and go find ourselves a hotel. Very frustrating!VRBO gave us a full refund immediately due our host. Wing unresponsive and they couldn’t do anything else to help us. As we greatly appreciated VRBO’s help and our refund, this experience was crappy to say the least.With that said, the host messaged me the next day- apologized and said “she wasn’t sure what happened….. maybe previous guess changed the code- she wasn’t sure.”. She offered us to go back and stay but that was a big NO. Our visit to las cruces was to see our daughter, and we had a wonderful time….. just not at this property!From a business and common sense perspective, I’d check the codes and home before guests arrive and keep your phone on if you advertise that you’re available 24/7 if anything goes wrong. I hope future guests have a wonderful stay!
