A beautiful home that worked great for our family of 14 (grandparents, parents, adult children) and our yellow lab. We visited Mammoth cave (highly recommend domes and dripstones tour!).

Great spot for families

We had 2 families with small kiddos here for a long weekend at the lake and we loved our stay! The kids were already asking us when we get to go back when we were in the car heading home. The location and space are great. Didn't feel like people were on top of each other even with 8 of us there. Lori was extremely responsive and kind in her messaging. We would love to stay again next year.

National Park Getaway

We had a quick, 3 night vacation with 11 family members and this home was beautiful and exactly what we needed for room arrangement. The house had everything we needed and then some! The host was incredibly responsive through the VRBO messaging app. Highly recommend for proximity to Mammoth Cave and Barron Lake!

Easter and grandson baptism

Was a unique stay. Home is wonderful. Grandsons really enjoyed the loft and we were able to host an Easter egg hunt along with more family who joined us for dinner Thanks

Weekend trip for our daughter's Birthday

We booked this listing for a weekend for our daughter's 11th birthday. It was absolutely beautiful. Peaceful and remote, yet just a short drive to all that the area had to offer. We absolutely will be booking again when we come back

Great Stay

This place was fantastic. The owner was amazing and answered any questions we had. The layout seems a little different at first but was perfect for our stay. We had two families with 4 kids total. They loved the loft area with all the beds. The deck and large and we used the fire pit and the grill. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We were specifically going to Mammoth caves, so the location was perfect. We also found a great hike that was about 8 minutes from the house. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect Spring Break Getaway

It's a beautiful property and plenty of space for our whole family! We came down for Sring break and we had to spend a lot of time at the house due to storms and there was plenty of things to do.

Great Stay, Very Nice Property, Responsive Host

We stayed for 8 nights here, with 8-9 people (6 kids), and had a great stay at this property and would recommend it to other potential renters, with some things to consider. I'll be as objective as I possibly can. Keep in mind that the while the house accommodates up to 15, if you're actually staying with a big group of people for more than a just few nights, you may run out of certain supplies (trash bags, dishwasher pods, etc).Pros:Gated neighborhood - secure and peacefulGreat communication from host - very responsiveGood location - near Barren River Lake, Glasgow, and ScottsvilleHouse is very nice - spacious, clean, cozy, and comfortableHouse is supplied with a wide variety of useful itemsGreat large back deck with chairs, grill, and "fire table" for relaxing outside (front porch with chairs also)Con (only 1):Literally the only thing to note is that the property sits on a very steep slope, which can make for tricky driving conditions if it's snowy or slightly icy. It also makes it difficult for outdoor yard activities (ball playing, etc). I realize this may not be important for some, but it is for us, since we are an outside family most of the time. Not the end of the world, but just be aware if that is important to you. See above about outdoor decking/front porch.Overall, a great stay and I would recommend it to others!
