Best Kept Secret in Seaside

This place was awesome! Private with lots of parking. The house was well stocked and the beds very comfortable. We have stayed in many rental homes near Seaside and this one was by far the best. Kitchen is huge and the front deck is even larger. If you are looking for a place to stay and don't want to stay in downtown Seaside, then this place is a must. Very close to downtown but far enough away to be peaceful. The owner was very easy to deal with and very accommodating.

Family time

We have stayed at the cabin multiple times and enjoy it every time. Its a great place to relax, cook, play games, watch movies and catch up with family. The kitchen is stocked with pots/pans, dishes and everything needed to cook full meals. The kids loved the games and DVDs. We BBQ'd several times and roasted marshmallows in the fire pit.

Perfect Wedding Reception :)

I want to say thank you SO much to Jodi! We rented both the yurt and the cabin for our wedding reception. We couldn't have made a better decision! Jodi is the perfect hostess :) Her attention to detail is just amazing! She stayed in contact for the months ahead of the reception and was constantly thinking of things for our special day. We arrived early (with permission of course :) ). Jodi had worked so hard to make the yard perfect. Both the cabin and the yurt are so beautiful. She has put so much care in to both properties and has forgotten nothing. Everything we needed and more. We had a small ceremony on the beach in Seaside and then came back to the property for our reception. A lot of family and friends came. There was plenty of room. We put up a few easy-ups for shade (it was over 85 degrees :) ). Jodi had provided some Adirondack chairs and we had brought a few of our own so there was plenty of seating. We were so excited to show people the yurt and the cabin as they arrived. Everyone was very impressed! :) We used the fire pit every night (firewood was even provided!). The set up worked perfect, we got the yurt all to ourselves and the parents stayed in the cabin. They all were very happy with everything. The beds were super comfortable. The washer and dryer came in SO handy when trying to get everything set up/cleaned up for the party. My mom made our wedding cake and she loved the kitchen which is a huge compliment because she needs a lot of space when working with wedding cakes :). The kids all loved the flat screen TVs and the comfy couches (and of course all the room to run around outside :). Jodi- Thank you again! You were a Huge part of our special day and we will always remember :) Can’t wait to come back again!!! 

Lovely place to stay

Will definitely recommend this place. Jodi was so wonderful to work with. We even got to meet her while on our stay. She was very accomadating to our needs. Plenty of room for 12 people. The only downside was only 1 bathroom, but we managed very well. If you are thinking of coming to this area, I would strongly recommend looking at this rental. There's plenty of room to roam around and it is away from the rush of town. Will think of staying here again. Thanks for everything Jodi!

Cozy, comfortable, has everything, and is near everything!

We loved it here! Our trip turned out to be pretty rainy (a risk this time of year), so we spent a lot of time indoors. Jodi's vacation home had everything we needed to just relax and enjoy. Made some great meals in the well equipped kitchen. Had plenty of room to play board games, read, do art, etc. The internet service is just as peppy as advertised. The bed was so soft and cozy with the high thread-count sheets and cushy mattress pad. The place is very spacious, so very comfortable even if you're rained in. Our only regret is it rained so much we didn't get a chance to sit out on the huge deck (it is massive)! And everything is so close by! Groceries in Seaside, Ecola State Park, Oswald West State Park, restaurants. Very quiet and private, clean and well maintained. Loads of towels, linens. Great place to stay!

cabin in the woods

This is a really cool property, quick drive to cannon beach and seaside. Its tucked away off the 101, look for the purple surf shop. Street sign can be hard to spot in the dark. Cabin was plenty of room for 8 people, only one bath but its roomy and stocked with lots of extra towels. We had guest from cannon beach over for dinner, and dinner table could accommodate 12 just fine. Plenty of parking. I forgot games but Jodi had lots of options including a dart board. Kitchen was stocked with lots of cookware, as well as foil, ziplock bags, which came in handy. Jodi was a great host and very accommodating. Internet speed sufficient too for streaming or gaming.

Laurel Lodge

Every review I read for this place is accurate. This is a really attractive and cozy cabin to stay in. The knotty pine is beautiful. Appliances are brand new. The yurt is very cool. Jodi is a great host. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great time while staying there. There are so many beautiful beaches nearby to visit. A great place for families of all sizes.

Lovely cabin

We found the spacious kitchen and living room perfect for our group to visit/prepare and serve meals. The yurt is quite lovely. The house is decorated nicely and the towels and linens are nice. The setting is quiet and peaceful.

PERFECT pine cabin

We've stayed at so many places through VRBO.This is by far the cleanest, most comfortable, spacious and well- equipped! ! Perfect for our big family and just out of the way of Seaside crowds!

Girls Getaway Weekend

The cabin is beautiful inside and out and the deck is massive! Jodi takes GREAT care of the house and is SO accommodating. The beds are extremely comfortable and everything was very clean. The kitchen had everything we could have ever needed. The property is nice and secluded, but within just a few minutes of both downtown Seaside and downtown Cannon Beach. It was perfect for our bachelorette weekend getaway!

Beautiful Wedding at Seaside

We came down with our family and stayed for four nights. We got married on the beach at Seaside and had our reception on the property. The owner is great. She made sure we had everything we needed. We had a large group and everyone was VERY comfortable. The beds are super comfortable and the landscape is beautiful. This is the perfect place to rent for a large family; retreat; or fairly small group event. We had about 50 -60 people. You cannot go wrong staying here.

Amazing coastal cabin!

We spent two nights here with a group of friends and all of us loved it! It was clean and had everything we could possibly need. The deck was one of our favorite spots! We spent every morning drinking coffee and listening to the stream. Jodi is a doll! You will love this cabin!

Aaaaahhhh....Perfect!!

We participated in one of Seasides' 2 car shows this month, and this property (we stayed in the house/cabin) was the perfect compliment. Close enough to downtown for convenience, but far enough to get away to peace and quiet after a long day. The lodging is roomy (we had 6 adults, 1 baby, and 2 small dogs) and SOOO comfortable. The kitchen layout is great, beds/furniture were all great, and we didn't want for anything. Believe it or not, it was too warm for a fire in the firepit, or for really sitting out on the deck until after dark (or in the morning)...pretty incredible for Seaside, OR in September...but we'll do that next time! Thank you, Jodi! You are terrific to work with, and let us know about Spring, 2015!!

Perfect Getaway!

The cabin was beautiful and well stocked. The pictures dont do it justice! Was plenty of room for two families. 4 adults and 4 kids. Loved all the windows and being away from all the craziness and people, but such a short drive to the beach and tourist type activities. so nice to come back to after a busy day. Jodi was very nice and accommodating. We will definately be back and recommend this rental to everyone we know heading to seaside and cannon beach! Thanks again Jodi!!

Two Entire Families, One Awesome Rental!

I stayed here for 4 nights with a total of 3 adults, 4 kiddos, and 2 dogs. There was plenty of room for everyone. Highlights for us: The deck was completely close and lockable, as far as keeping kids and pets contained. Jodi provides just about every type of utensil and cooking item you could need. Firewood readily available. Beautiful property. Very clean. LOTS of bedding and towels. Large bathroom. Not the best: One of the rooms (Single queen room) doesn't have a door, it has a curtain. Not as much usable property as we had expected (no large grassy area etc. our fault for assuming based on the size of the property). The yurt is much closer to the cabin than thought. (Also our fault for assuming, but this could be a huge plus if we rented both next time!) The owner, Jodi, obviously puts a lot of effort into this rental. It was very clean and organized, so easy to rent/communicate with her and she left us a note with some extra information when we arrived, which I appreciated. I will definitely rent this cabin again and recommend it to anyone that is going to Seaside (about 3 mins away) or Cannon Beach (about 6 mins away). We really can't wait to go back!

Super Cozy Cabin

This cabin was great! Super cozy and clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with just about anything you could possibly need. We enjoyed watching movies in the comfy family room while enjoying the creek and waterfall just outside the window. They cabin also has a huge front deck which would be great for a summer stay (it snowed while we were there so we didn't spend much time outside). It also was a great jumping off point to explore downtown Seaside, Cannon Beach and Ecola State park (all a short drive away). Last, but not least, the cabin owner Jodi was wonderful to work with. She was quick to respond to questions and was super helpful! I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Best Rental Experience Ever

I arrived at the cabin after a 14 to 15 hour drive from Utah, and found this lovely place with wine and bath salts waiting for me.Jodi really did think of everything, and was very easy to get in touch with any time I needed anything.the first night I was there the frogsenoughed beautifully all night long.twice during our stay we had deer come right up next to the cabin where we were able to take pictures of them right through the living room window.I love being in a quiet private place but still near all the attractions of the beach and shopping.Oregon has a great many beautiful places to stay at, but my family and I had such a great time at Laurel lodge that we plan on coming back over and over again.the only thing that my family wanted for his curtains on the windows. Its very private and nobody would have seen us even without curtains, but it made my parents a little sketchy at night. however it was easily remedied (black bags draped down after dark). I've never felt so well taken care of in a rental. Can't recommend it enough.

Glad you like Oregon and hope you do come back every year. I know Cannon Beach holds special childhood memories for you. When you come for 2 weeks it gives me a break and then maybe I can go on vacation myself:) I will soon have shades on the windows but will put up curtains for the winter until then. I don't like staying there at night with no shades either so I totally understand how your parents feel. I just never watch a scary movie by myself. we fell in love with this cabin so nice. you really only need to bring food all else is there for you.. can not say thank you enough for the lone of your beautiful cabin. just need to add a wheel chair ramp and i bet you would get way more return guess...

Perfect Retreat!

This is one of the nicest rentals I have stayed at in a long time. We rented this one for a busy Seaside weekend, with 10 people. Being on the beach was not a priority, it was having a place to stay with all of us together and not having to worry about disturbing any neighbors. This is the perfect house for that. And the owners keep the house incredibly clean, and have thought of every detail. The kitchen is incredibly stocked and even has a separate beverage fridge! The owner was nearby if we needed anything, but stayed out of site and gave us our privacy. Although the house is not on the beach, it is in a private location, close enough to downtown Seaside, but also away from the traffic, and also a close trip to Cannon Beach. We already have this house booked for our next visit!

This is My Favorite Rental

I started out staying in the Bear's Den Yurt and just love it. Then when I had more people I moved to the Laurel Lodge. The owner puts lots of love into the place. I have always wanted a place at the beach that has a mountain feel. The decorations are beautiful. Supplying bath salts is so considerate. Everything is soft. The beverage refrigerator is great. Beautiful surroundings. Love the huge deck. I can't decide which I like better the yurt or the house. Wonderful getaway for family and pets. Very well supplied. Can hardly wait for my next visit.

Wonderful cabin...

This cabin is AMAZING. Well designed, wonderful layout and probably the cleanest rental I have ever been in. The owners thought of everything from excellent towels to great kitchen tools. The love and attention put into this cabin was so effortless it really added to a comfortable stay. I loved how it was decorated and how functional everything was. The cabin was easy to find and very convenient to get to everything we wanted to see in Seaside. This is now a new family favorite coastal rental.
