Mid-Century Modern Mountain Retreat • Walk to the Lift

Escape to the mountains with a stay designed for families, friends, and parents who need a getaway of their own. This thoughtfully updated mid-century modern retreat combines warm wood tones, comfortable gathering spaces, and easy access to everything Wintergreen has to offer.

Best of all, you can walk to the ski lift, making it easy to spend the day skiing or snowboarding without having to load everyone into the car. In warmer months, trade the slopes for hiking, mountain trails, waterfalls, and time outdoors together.

After a day of adventure, come home to a private hot tub tucked among the trees, gather around the fire table, or let the kids take over the game room while the adults relax.

Designed for Families & Groups:
• 4 bedrooms + 2 baths — sleeps 10 comfortably
• Downstairs bunk room with twin-over-full bunks + trundle — perfect for kids and cousins
• Upstairs primary bedroom with king bed
• Two additional upstairs bedrooms with shared bath
• Pull-out bed in the living room for added flexibility
• Spacious living areas across two levels so everyone can gather or spread out

For the Kids:
• There’s plenty here to keep kids entertained when they aren't exploring the mountain:
• Game room with games for kids, teens, and competitive adults
• Private hot tub
• Easy access to skiing, tubing, and hiking
• High-speed WiFi for downtime and streaming
• Forest setting where the outdoors is part of the experience

For the Parents:
This is also a place to slow down and reconnect. • Enjoy coffee together in the morning, relax in the hot tub after a day on the slopes, gather around the fire table in the evening, or simply enjoy a quiet mountain weekend away. The open living area features vaulted ceilings, a modern fireplace, and peaceful forest views, creating a comfortable place to unwind after a day outside.

The Mountain at Your Doorstep
• Walk to the ski lift
• Minutes from Wintergreen's skiing, tubing, and mountain activities
• Close to hiking trails and scenic overlooks
• Easy access to Sherando Lake
• Convenient to local wineries, breweries, and restaurants

Whether you're looking for a family ski trip, a summer hiking adventure, or a mountain getaway with friends, this is a place where you can spend less time driving and more time enjoying the mountains.

The house is AWESOME. The open common room with the fireplace in the center, the hot tub, the Pac-Man arcade in the basement, the deck, everything! We absolutely loved our time there and we're hoping to stay there again sometime...if they're lucky we might even let the kids come! The host was responsive and communicative and friendly, too! All around a great experience. 10 out of 10, would do again.

Relaxing spring family getaway

Peaceful family trip. The cabin was beautiful, lots of space, and very clean. The cabin had everything we needed. The game room, board games and puzzles were a hit with our kids. Hot tub was huge, clean had its own separate gated area.

We absolutely loved our stay here for the weekend! The pictures are accurate but it’s even better in person. We all slept comfortably, it was clean, and communication with Tyler was quick and helpful! We loved both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces and the hot tub. The hot tub was clean and ready to turn on and hop in. I booked the stay for a group of friends and everyone kept telling me that it was a perfect pick. Lots of nearby trails/hikes, overlooks, and restaurants that we enjoyed in the off season! Would recommend!!

Birthday Getaway

We had a lovely time in Wintergreen. Beds were very comfy, plenty of room throughout and the Kitchen had everything we needed. Just a suggestion: Add a coffee table in the living room and extra seating:)

The house was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. The pictures are quite accurate. The decor was thoughtful and the home was cozy, with very comfortable beds. Tyler, our host, was very communicative and thoughtful. He called us(4 retired women) on our last night there to make sure we were ok during some severe weather. This was an excellent VRBO stay and I would certainly stay here again.

Good and nice but not great.

The home is really cozy but needs TLC. The downstairs bathroom in particular, the toilet paper holder is broken. The sink doesn’t drain, the painting is unfinished. The hot tub needs attention, specifically the headrests. Overall, we loved it but would like it to have a bit more effort…

Hi, I’m Ty! My family and I love the mountains, and we created this home to be a place where families can slow down, spend time together, and make great memories.

I’ve traveled quite a bit and know the difference between a place that simply gives you a bed and one that feels like home. That’s what we’ve tried to create here—a comfortable, welcoming space with the little things families appreciate after a day of exploring.

Whether you’re skiing at Wintergreen, hiking the trails, visiting a local winery, or relaxing at the house, I want your stay to be easy, comfortable, and memorable.
Thanks for considering our home. We’d love to have your family stay with us!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

I didn’t just choose this property for its location—I saw the potential to create a mountain home where families could genuinely enjoy being together.

We thoughtfully renovated the space while keeping its mid-century modern character, creating a home that feels stylish without sacrificing comfort. From the natural light and open living areas to the cozy fireplace and mountain setting, every detail was chosen to make it easy to settle in and feel at home.

But the best part isn’t the design—it’s what happens here. Kids can take over the game room while parents relax in the hot tub. Families can gather around the fire table, cook dinner together, or come home after a day on the slopes and simply unwind.

Whether you're here for skiing, hiking, wineries, or a weekend away together, I hope this feels like more than a vacation rental. I hope it becomes part of your family's story and a place you'll want to come back to.

この宿泊施設の特徴

This newly renovated mountain getaway combines mid-century modern style with the comfort families want on vacation. Located just minutes from Wintergreen’s slopes, it makes ski days easy while giving everyone a comfortable place to unwind afterward.

Inside, the open living space gives families room to spread out, with warm wood tones, a cozy fireplace, and a fully stocked kitchen for everything from quick breakfasts to family dinners. When the day winds down, enjoy the hot tub, fire table, or let the kids head to the game room.

Whether you're here for skiing, hiking, wineries, or simply time together, this is a place designed to make family getaways easy, comfortable, and memorable.
