VERY bad experience. Booked for 10 nights. One room and a bath attached to host’s home. Entry from the back yard through large wooden gate on the side of the house. Problems: constant WiFi issues (having to ask host to reboot router); no laundry though laundry listed as amenity; Access issues: gate to leave property was getting stuck, host attributed the problem to heat. One evening, could not pull the gate open. Host lives in the building. Knocked on her back door. She came out to try to pull open the gate; she couldn’t pull it open. She went back into her house through her back door, came out her front door and was able to push the gate open from the street side. BUT biggest problem was bugs. Ants in bathroom, in the bedroom and ON the bed. I complained about the ants and the host sprayed and left ant traps. Came back to the room to find ants swarming the traps. Complained again to the host. She said that, if I wanted to leave, she would reimburse for the four (4) remaining nights I had left. I packed up and went to a hotel. I was not fully reimbursed for the nights I paid for but did not stay. VRBO reimbursed me a total of 400. I paid over 200.00 per night. According to VRBO customer service, if there is a dispute, the host decides how much to reimburse the tenant.
