Mario and Christine are an amazingly sweet couple who were very kind and very communicative. They treated the villa as if it were their own and I would welcome them back at anytime. I highly recommend them to other hosts.

Response to "Ja und Nein" The description of the house is honest and accurate. Under normal circumstances, there is a 24-hour pause between bookings, but if guests request a "back-to-back" due to flight constraints, I do grant it. Jutta and Lutzig reached the villa around 3:30pm, the previous guests had checked out hours before, around 11:30am. I can attest to this because myself and the cleaner arrived just after 12 noon. The house was ready and prepared around the 4pm check-in time, except for the additional room, which I had forgotten was requested and a nominal fee charged. I apologized for the error...it had been requested and booked some 13 months earlier and was never brought to mind by the guest nor myself since. The cleaner got right to it and prepared the second room, completed the "handover" and left just after 6pm. The guests had been welcomed into the house and the already prepared guest room hours prior, just after 4pm and NOT around 7pm. The garden does not have any old furniture, it has shrubs, plants and other tropical foliage. there are additional outdoor tables and chairs in the garden as well. The bridge is a narrow strip spanning the middle of the pool, with water on either side. No one has ever complained of not being able to swim or enjoy the pool. There is no briefing or instructions that state the washing machine doesn't always work, perhaps Jutta, due to a language barrier, misunderstood the Villa Notes? The washing machine works fine. It was an oversight not having a few starter pods in the laundry, but this was never an issue because Jutta told the cleaner they had laundry pods when she showed them how to operate the washing machine. The hairdryer works and is still working, I tested it. However Jutta mentioned it wasn't powerful and I explained where they could find the pantry keys to access a more powerful hairdryer, they did not just "find" one there. The dishwasher did not "fail to work", Jutta failed to mention that, somehow the door locked and they could no longer get it to open. The technician reported that the handle was broken, (perhaps by excessive pressure used to open) and self-locked. It is now under repair. I have never had anyone complain about the pots and pans, in over 14 years that the villa has been in existence. Melba - Spring Bay Villa
