After a 9 hour trip we get to the address and the gate was difficult to find due to unclear directions and no markings on the fence to where the door was. Once we got into the unit its was viable clear that the Vrbo was not properly clean. Dead bugs on the carpet, molded coffee filter, water damage with mold spots in the bathroom and bedroom closet. Crusted/ rusty soap dispensers, dishes were unclean and left in oven ( in pictures). After seeing this we contacted the host. After a while without hearing a response we then contacted Vrbo. We asked for a refund so we could leave. The Host only gave the option of having maintenance come and clean. After we left and came back, maintenance only addressed the concerns in the picture instead of a deep clean. On top of this, if you like your house cold and no control of the temperature. Then this is the place for you.

1. poor communication from property. received one communication at time of the reservation. then heard nothing until vbro sent a second confirmation two days before arrival. tryed to contact on the options from this communication but just received an error message. after approximately an hour on the phone and trying to contact on line. Was told we would receive the access code prior to check in time. received an email at 3:51 PM. 'fortunately my wife could look up email on her phone but i can't. the property manager assumes everyone lives through teir phone. 2. there is a small tree stump by the parking area that is not visible at night. We arrived after dark and hit the stump. We are having the underside of the car checked for damage. 3. we arrived after dark. all the interior lights were turned off. almost fell on the step down at the entrance. It was difficult to find the light switches for the kitchen, front room, and bedroom in the dark. having lighted light switches woud help. 4. property was clean and otherwise acceptable.

The instructions for getting to the unit are not clear. We walked around the home at around 1 am trying to find the correct door to enter. We even tried the wrong door once. The instructions stated the unit was behind the fence, however it’s actually inside the side fence. There is no way to control the thermostat from inside the unit. We purchased a fan to try and stay cool. It was quite warm at times (we did not reach out to have the thermostat changed). There is no water line hooked up to the fridge, however they have not turned off the ice maker in it so it is constantly trying to pull water to make ice. This wasn’t an issue other than the noise from it trying to pull water. The closet door inside the bedroom is simply propped up and not actually attached. It fell several times without being touched. Overall it is a comfortable place in an extremely convenient location.
