Nestled in the beautiful mountains of the Red River Gorge area, with direct river access, Restful River cabin is not only spacious enough for a family of six, but cozy enough for a simple getaway for two. Take in all the beauty Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park has to offer, relax, disconnect (no WiFi) all while enjoying your very own little oasis with direct river access and a flowing natural spring that runs right next to the wrap around porch. Bring your fishing poles, kayaks, swimming suits/trunks and your arm floaties! Having a family reunion in the Gorge area, or a small group trip? Book all three of our river front cabins and spread out. All three cabins combined can sleep up to 14 guests, and don't forget to ask us about pitching a tent or two next to the river. We'll have you feeling like a local in no time!

This was so ideal for our family, including a baby, 4 year old, and dog. The cabin was pretty secluded, as no one was checked into the other two small cabins on the property and the only traffic going by was to access the nearby camping area. Across the road is a lovely clearing with fire pit and seating with the river just below. We'd go out hiking in the day and then the kids and dog would splash in the river after. Behind the property were tons of moss-covered boulders and we just hiked around back there for awhile as well. We will definitely book this one again. It's very close to the Slade exit and you can get to anywhere you need relatively quickly.

Google maps did not register this cabin. It tried to take us 2 miles further into the muddy roads.Pos: Cabin was clean. The host provided coffee and all other essentials listed in description. If youre looking for solitude and nature, this cabin is ideal. Neg: The cabin had a musty cedar smell. All the pillows and sheets felt damp. Minimal sun light inside the cabin. The metal roof made me feel like i was sleeping in a shipping container.

Quiet and peaceful! The cabin had a beautiful view of the river. The place was nicely decorated and well equipped. We didn't mind the lack of wifi. The TV was large and a disc player was provided. We brought our own movies but there were games, books, and DVDs. We really enjoyed our stay!

Google maps led me astray on the direction, so had a bit of trouble finding the cabin. No cell signal in the area and no wifi, but there was a good selection of movies and board games in the cabin.lots of wildlife around, cabin itself was fine. Clean, and comfortable enough. The wrap around porch was nice for evening conversations. I did not find a hose hook up anywhere on the Cabin, so I had to borrow the hose from a neighboring cabin to spray my dog off after he'd spent the day in the river.

Fern Valley Cabins is a family of cabins nestled perfectly on the banks of the Red River in the smack dab of the beautiful Red River Gorge, KY. Our property offers a cozy and comfortable stay with just about everything our area has to offer, right on the property itself. Enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, grilling, a nice fire under the stars, an abundance of wildlife, peace and tranquility! But want to expand your adventure outside of the property? Great, because we are just a hop, skip and a jump away from the best of the best Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park has to offer.

Welcome to Fern Valley Cabins! Restful River cabin is the largest of our three “family cabins”. But is the only cabin to offer its very own natural spring that flows next to the wrap around porch. Our family includes Restful River (sleeps 6) , Campfire (sleeps 4) and Sleepy Bear (sleeps 4). All nestled together along the beautiful Red River. Escape, Disconnect (no WiFi and spotty cell service) and enjoy!! Spaced out enough for privacy, yet close enough to each other for larger groups. We are equipped to sleep upwards of 14 guests. Perfect for family reunions, extended stays for rock climbers, kayakers, hikers, or the perfect spot for a couples retreat. Each cabin has direct access to the Red River.
