This is the perfect northwoods cabin rental for anything in the Gladstone/Escanaba area! Eating dinner on the back deck with the beautiful river as a backdrop was our favorite part. And the smallmouth fishing was an added bonus!

Our world needs more Kari’s. More than accommodating hosts, clean and inviting home is an understatement. Quiet and serene atmosphere with deer, wild Turkey and bald eagles visiting frequently. All the necessities available and a perfect deck and fire pit area to embrace the beauty! Felt like home, thank you Kati and John for sharing, the hospitality and your kindness.

What a great place in a great location! I really enjoyed my solo stay, but it’s also a great spot for a family or small group. The cabin has everything you need and then some. It is well maintained, clean, and comfortable. You can’t beat sitting on the back porch overlooking the river on a beautiful day. I would most definitely stay here again!

Just a great getaway, cabin is decorated perfectly for where it’s at, WiFi and entertainment are awesome, super quiet and relaxing area , we’re a couple of oldtimers so it was perfect, I would wonder about how to keep kids busy, awesome place would definitely go back

This cabin (home) on the Escanaba River was every bit as clean and comfortable as represented. The view of the river and the sound of the river rushing by as seen and heard from the deck is unimaginably beautiful. In addition to an immature eagle, we saw deer wading in the river each morning. One night I stayed up late and while being mesmerized by the sound of the river I heard owls, two groups of coyotes across the river and later, a lone WOLF off in the distance on our side of the river (I’ve heard wolves before on several trips to Isle Royale National Park and it was likely a wolf).Checking in was uncomplicated and the host, Kari was pleasant, helpful and always quick to respond to messages or phone calls. We truly enjoyed our time here. We rarely get a chance to relax at home and this is just what we needed. The cabin has everything you need! The chairs on the deck are so comfy and that view with the sound of the river would never get old! We loved how clean and cozy it was here! Thanks for sharing this place!

First family vacation

My husband, infant daughter, our dog, and I had a wonderful stay on our first trip as a family of four.The views are beautiful and there is plenty of fishing, both at the house and many locations nearby! There is also great hiking nearby!

The views of the Escanaba river from the home's large dining room and living room windows are very inviting, and having the wood stove's flames to view and warm to enjoy in the evening, while sitting in evergreen-themed, very comfortable furniture. was great!

This was one of the most peaceful places I've stayed. The property sits right on a beautiful river, and I loved starting my mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee listening to the water. The views are incredible, and the whole area just has a calm, relaxing feel to it.There is great trout fishing nearby, beautiful scenery in every direction, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Escanaba is only about 20 minutes away, so it's close enough to run into town if needed while still feeling like you're away from it all.Cell service is a little spotty, but honestly I kind of loved that. It gave me an excuse to put my phone down and spend more time enjoying the river, the wildlife, and everything this beautiful area has to offer. If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature, this is definitely it.

We absolutely loved our stay!! This was such a comfortable and cozy cabin! Loved sitting on the deck in the morning and during sunset! Such great views. Very clean!! Location is super nice! Not far from the town or hiking trails! Overall loved our stay so much!! Thank you!

Restful on the River

The house is located on the river and is fantastic. Really, you have got to sit on the deck and soak up the peaceful waters, watch the deer and eagles (yes, eagles), and other wildlife. The interior is fully functional and laid out really well for relaxation. Really appreciated the NetFlix too for late evening chilling. Cannot go wrong staying here. Owners were great to work with and communicated really well. We'll be back!

We spent our anniversary trip at this quaint little cottage and fell in love almost immediately. The deck overlooking the River is just about as peaceful as it gets. We seen so much wild life and spent a majority of our time here. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed.The livingroom was comfy at night to wind down. We absolutely would come back in the future! Kari was a dream to communicate with as well.
