Welcome to Lotus View Retreat, a custom-built log cabin perched atop a scenic ridge in Buckingham, Virginia. Overlooking the majestic James River, the iconic Lotus Temple, and the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains, our cabin offers a tranquil haven just a mile from the heart of Yogaville.

The cabin features a separate bedroom with a queen-size bed and a versatile sleeping/meditation loft, comfortably accommodating up to four guests.

Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, now with a fully functional stove, perfect for preparing home-cooked meals.

A brief respite

We walked to this property as a stop over as we traveled up north after picking up our son from college. We needed a place that was quiet, restful, and beautiful. This place was absolutely perfect. It has stunning views. Check in was very easy. And our host was very responsive.

What a wonderful place to stay! Super clean, comfortable and just perfect.We have family that lives nearby. So we were visiting with them and attending our nephew’s birthday party.Igor was excellent. Great communicator and very helpful with everything. Views from the house are breathtaking. We will certainly be back!

The entire cabin was very clean. There was relaxing music playing as we entered. The view off the full back deck is amazing. We had great weather and make sure to be back to catch the sunset each night. I asked the host if there were any ice trays in the cupboard as I could not find any, just a few minutes later and she was at the door with a tray full of ice!

We loved our time here. It was perfect for our family of 2 adults, 1 toddler, and a dog. The space was great size and layout, plenty of storage and ease of cooking. The listing doesn't include it but there was a charcoal grill outside with charcoals if you are looking into meal options. Back porch does not have fence but perfect height - enough to ground that our dog could not jump off but I felt comfortable with 3 year old walking on it.

When we needed an extra night earlier and the original place we booked was occupied that Saturday night Prashanti got back to us with an even better place and then allowed us to stay the whole visit there.This was a BIG deal to us as we were in the process of moving and settlement appointments. They also let us bring our very sweet cat. Everyone was very helpful and kind. They made a stressful event much more enjoyable and relaxing.

We agree with other reviews about the setting, views, etc. For us, the best part was sitting on the porch and using our Merlin app. We heard a large variety of bird species, and saw lots of them, including ones mostly seen only in treetops. The sunsets, trains, mountain views- all excellent!
