Welcome to Dickerson House, the home of a former sea captain. This gorgeous two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is located directly on the parade route for Savannah's St. Patrick's Day Parade. No need for a car, you can walk to all of the best restaurants and bars from this location.

Two king bedrooms await you, both ensuite. A comfortable living/dining/kitchen area is located in the front of the apartment with a half bath for your convenience. Luxury bedding and a lovely outdoor patio facing Abercorn Street are a few of the great amenities of this property.

Step into Savannah's rich maritime history at the Dickerson House, the former residence of Captain Henry James Dickerson, a prominent 19th-century sea captain and entrepreneur. Born in Maryland and drawn to Savannah's bustling harbor at the age of 19, Captain Dickerson rose from sailor to ship owner, building a fleet of vessels that played a vital role in the city's commerce and wartime efforts. His legacy lives on in this beautifully preserved home, situated at the vibrant corner of York and Abercorn Streets.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience at the Historic Dickerson House in Savannah. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how beautifully decorated and comfortable the home was. The two bedrooms were spacious, and the entire house had everything we needed for our two-night stay. My husband and I, along with another couple, found the space to be just what we needed. The location was absolutely ideal—not only was it beautiful, and close to all the action but it was also incredibly convenient with a parking deck nearby. The hosts were amazing; they were very responsive and their suggestions for things to do around the city were spot-on. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a memorable Savannah trip. I would definitely rent this property again the next time I am in Savannah.

We loved this place. The apartment is beautiful and spacious. The location is perfect for walking all over Savannah. We parked in the garage across the square and didn’t take the car out until we were leaving.

Thanksgiving.

We had a wonderful time exploring Savannah and visiting with family during the Thanksgiving holidays. Our VRBO was conveniently located to restaurants and in walking distance to sites in the historic district. We would 100% stay again.

What a great host and property!

We loved being in historic Savannah. We could walk to about anything we wanted to see. Lot of great restaurants one or two blocks away. Nice neighborhood and Location

We picked this because of the location and it fit our needs perfectly. We wanted to be close by to the waterfront and shopping and in walking distance to restaurants. The unit is spacious with high ceilings and is located on a nice square full of history. We had good luck with parking also.

This place was just as advertised - perfect location and walkable to many sites. Even though we had to use street parking (we purchased a 2 day visitors pass), we were able to find parking nearby.

Family Weekend Get-away

The Fam Jam had a great time in Savannah thanks to our accommodations. The location was excellent. Easy walk to River Street, Forsyth Park and City Market. The apartment was clean, spacious and well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great location and property. Loved the look and everything was close enough to walk. We were there sun-thurs , originally i was concerned with parking but we had no issues at all there was always parking available nearby. Property was clean and really comfortable!

Loved it all!

We only needed a one night stay but could have easily satiated for days. Beds were VERY comfortable and the whole unit was clean and accessible for all of our group. Elevator was a huge plus with our bikes and luggage. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great Property and Location

This was a great and quiet location to stay and had a very historical feel to it. Sitting in the living room listening to the horse carriages in the street gave the impression I had traveled back in time! The only thing I was worried about was the parking, but there were plenty of street parking close by and it was cheaper than parking at a hotel. Would stay here again.

Perfect location off a Savannah Square

As a Savannah native returning to town with friends to show off the city, I could not ask for a more picturesque location. Accommodations were beautiful and the location is perfect for walking nearly anywhere in the historic district. Property owner was easy to communicate with, and we knew they were there in case we needed them! Thanks again for opening your place to us.

Easy walk to river, dining, shopping and all that historical Savannah has to offer. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen is not well stocked and the hand soap dispensers were empty.

Very nice location

Very nice location towards the center of Savannah. It makes for a very good walkable vacation. Just be aware, this location is on the 3rd floor via stairs. Also, master bathroom's shower can be a tight fit to enter if you are a little overweight. Both of these were fine for our group, but won't meet everyone's needs. We would stay here again.
